- CamdaWellington, New Zealand895 contributionsAmazing. As serial garden visitors this garden is truly incredible and well worth the lovely drive from Christchurch. We spent several hours here enjoying the garden, view (on waters edge), art display and sculptures. A bonus to engage with the caretakers who imparted their knowledge of the property and even gave us a potted cutting. A wonderful day.Written November 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AraleMelbourneMelbourne, Australia427 contributionsThis market is on Saturdays between 10.00 to 1.00pm. Free Parking on the nearby streets. This is the main attraction of Lyttleton in my humble opinion. Lyttleton harbour is actually more beautiful as seen from the Gondola mountain top. UP close it is hard to appreciate the beautiful water and landscape.
The Lyttleton Famers Market is quite lovely and is worth a visit. Dog friendly and welcoming. Lyttleton is only 18 mins or so from Christchurch city centre. There were local produce, bakery, cheeses, fresh coffees and some hand craft. There are also a number of unique permanent shops to browse too.Written June 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - moonlotus18Hamilton, New Zealand2,078 contributionsWe found out about the Timeball from the lady at the information centre and decided to explore it. It was a nice walk from town centre to get to the area. The map provided at the information centre was useful And we got to learn about interesting bits of history of the different places along the way. The area is well preserved even though the original Timeball has been replaced due to repairs in the last earthquake that hit the area. Very interesting history information available at the site. Would recommend a visit.Written April 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- ITRTVirginia45,433 contributionsAlbion Square is located on land that once was home to the Albion Hotel. The hotel was damaged during the earthquakes of 2010-2011. The square provides the town a place for all to enjoy. The area has a stage, seating area, playground, and green space. There is free wi-fi. The war memorial, originally called the Fallen Soldiers Memorial, was built in 1923 and finally has a home in Albion Square.Written April 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lyndal W1 contributionWe did this down the Avon with our work crew. It was fun, nice and calm. Set up was a little random but we had lots of laughs and no one got wet.Written March 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
