- Bill F202 contributionsSpent a very enjoyable day here in late September.
Old city is small but delightful.
Wonderful views over the sparkling Adriatic Sea.
Great food
Lovely walk along the promenade which stands atop the cliffs on which the town was built

La Monachile is nestled between two rocky cliffs which give it an idyllic setting. The renowned rocky beach below is very popular.Written September 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shazz G. W.Palm Beach Gardens, FL487 contributionsA wonderful and scenic winery in Polignano y Mare. Elena took us around her beautiful winery. We than proceeded to sit down for a tasting. Well she couldn’t be more hospitable. So much food was put out (which most is available for purchase) as well as a wine tasting.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling town. The wine itself was exceptional—each bottle carried distinct local flavors that truly captured the essence of the region. In addition to the wine, their other products, such as olive oils and artisanal treats, were top-notch. Elena really was knowledgeable and passionate, adding to the overall wonderful experience. I highly recommend this winery to anyone visiting the area!Written October 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a monument to the birthplace of the great singer Domenico Modugno who gave the world one of the most recognisable songs of all time. The Volare staircase is behind the statue. When you descend you will have a view of the open seas, the renowned Lama Monachile beach, and the town. It is definitely worth a visit.Written September 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Travelandexperiences32 contributionsVery nice and central beach. But in August it is full of people and becomes very chaotic. We enjoyed this beach during the night hours, as it is well lit. It is useful to take a pair of shoes for the sea with you because there are stones under the water.Written December 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
