- SoulserenityJaco, Costa Rica111 contributionsUvita Waterfall is one of my absolute favorite spots in Costa Rica. The waterfall is breathtaking, with its multi-tiered cascade flowing into a crystal-clear pool surrounded by lush rainforest. The hike to the falls is short and easy, and the journey is enhanced by beautiful scenery and the vibrant butterfly field along the way.
The pool at the base is perfect for a refreshing swim, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal place to relax and soak in the natural beauty. If you’re visiting the area, don’t miss this hidden gem it’s a serene and stunning spot that truly showcases the best of Costa Rica!Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Pay in cash if you can.
The beach is nice. The surf is good. At one entrance there are stalls selling souvenirs and food.Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. From the very beginning, both guides were so welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. We saw so many cool creatures, and learned so much about each one. It is clear that Enrique and Humberto are super passionate about nature and the environment. This was an amazing tour and will absolutely be doing it again!Written August 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - carpediem2019New York City, NY104 contributionsI went with Pacifico Tours' whale watching excursion. The team was fantastic and the ride surpassed my expectations. We did see about five whales and a group of dolphins. The caves were exceptional. It does get rodeo-like towards the end, but if you have the opportunity, do it. We got swamped with torrential rain just minutes after disembarking on the beach. Everyone was excited and thrilled. Thank you!Written September 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sophie C1 contributionI highly recommend Rancho La Merced for horseback riding. This was such an amazing experience and definitely the best horse riding experience of my life. I went with my best friend. We love horses and have been searching for a place that will let us gallop on the beach. Our tour guide was Edgar he was very friendly and a funny guy. He spotted lots of wildlife along the way which he pointed out to us. On the way too the beach we saw several types of monkeys, toucans, macaws, and a wild turkey. Galloping on the beautiful beaches here was such an amazing experience everyone should do at least once in their life. Everyone that works their is so nice and welcoming and we really enjoyed our ride with our tour guide Edgar!Written August 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kaelan Y4 contributionsOur birding adventure at Oro Verde Reserve, guided by Samantha, was a true gem. Samantha's passion and expertise enriched the experience, making it both educational and enjoyable. The reserve's diverse birdlife, from toucans to hummingbirds, was a delight to discover.
The tour concluded with a delicious breakfast with an ocean view, adding a perfect finishing touch. Samantha's friendly guidance and insightful facts about each bird enhanced the overall experience, catering to both enthusiasts and newcomers.
This birding tour with Samantha is a must for nature lovers. With a knowledgeable guide, diverse bird species, and a delightful breakfast, this experience stands out. - Sue TVenice, FL57 contributionsAmazing work is done here! The volunteers care for the many cats and dogs. Everyone is compassionate and upbeat. We started as volunteers then adopted the first dog we tried (not too hard) to foster.Poloma is a love and El Refugio brought her back from the brink of starvation and ruin. We are so grateful!
Please donate to them. They help to get medical care not just for those they care for but procure rides for animals to and from the vet not in their care.

Rodrigo and Johan and the ladies in the kitchen all embraced us with open arms, making us truly feel like family. We wish we could give this place 6 stars just based upon the hospitality and people alone. We’ve traveled a lot and this kind of genuine service and kindness is a rare find anywhere in the world. True connection on a human level. Our kids cried when we said goodbye. Our Airbnb was 25 minutes away and during our month stay, we visited this place 7 times which says a lot. Not to take away from the food, drink and atmosphere which was fantastic as well. Just want to highlight how special this place felt! Love you guys. We will be back one day!Written August 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
