What travelers are saying
- John M5 contributionsSheltered bay that is well loved and used by residents and visitors all year round.
Hotels, ice cream parlours, cafes, amusement arcade, small pier, all the things that remind you of the idealised seaside experience.
This is one of several adjacent bays, so you can easily walk to ay of the adjoining bays, with beach huts and even a tidal saltwater swimming pool.
Three different parts of our extended family have now moved and settled in Broadstairs.Written December 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Ann LondonLondon, UK3 contributionsSo relaxing ,beautiful view

Loved the row of beachuts - do walk down to the shore line and along them all as all painted differently and lovely to look at up close.Written October 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tony RHerne Bay, UK219 contributionsLovely little seaside bay with a shop and toilets.
Great chalk cliffs and a lovely place to walk the dog.
Good on street parking at the top of the hill with a slightly difficult incline down to the beach.
Nice place to spend an afternoon at the seasideWritten December 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - hilary dLondon, UK547 contributionsWe stayed at Artfuls for two nights and we walked in the beach many times! We had great weather, beautiful beach and lovely resort.
Just one small complaint, dog owners, throw your dog poo bags away or take them home!Written January 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - RobEd221Bexhill-on-Sea, UK62 contributionsMy adult family, their partners, my wife and I visited this charmingly local museum to an international figure. Don't expect whizzy interactive artifacts and learning opportunities, this is a collection of things donated to well-meaning enthusiasts - most have something to do with Dickens, but there are also Quite Interesting artefacts about Broadstairs and the period. It also houses an expansive collection of cartoons of characters from Dickens' books and serials.Written April 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ferguson familyTunbridge Wells, Kent81 contributionsBlustery afternoon walk along cliffs at Viking Bay. A flat walk, well paved, so easily accessible for prams/wheelchairs. Lovely views over the bay and backward to the ornate buildings behind. Would recommend if visiting Broadstairs.Written February 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Rebecca CBirmingham, UK2 contributionsHaving seen a beautiful glasswork in the window I got in touch with the artist Vicki who had just finished something similar - it was the perfect present for my daughter. So beautiful and unique and something to have forever. A constant memory of swimming in Viking Bay. Thanks so much Vicki.Written March 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- hilary dLondon, UK547 contributionsWe stayed in Broadstairs for two nights,(Artfuls). We walked up to the tower from our hotel just to look at the outside(museum is closed until Easter).
Will return in the future!Written January 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Martina CMargate, UK44 contributionsWe booked to come here for our valentine's meal out as we thought it sounded like a good night out. The advert said we would have a Michael Buble tribute and the menu looked good. Also, free £10.00 worth of vouchers to spend on the tables.
Dinner was lovely. We ordered a slow cooked brisket with mash. I had cheesecake to follow and my husband had waffles and ice cream. We also received a free glass of bubbly. I won £5.00 on the table but we dont gamble so didnt spend any more than the vouchers. Sadly, Muchael Buble tribute didnt show despite us waiting around for an hour longer than he was due to show which was a little disappointing. But would come again as good value for £20.00 per person.Written February 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Alexandra GBirchington, UK420 contributionsThis is a very beautiful old church with stunning ceiling paintings, glistening stained glass windows and a huge cemetery with many interesting old grave monuments. There is a free car park opposite for ease of parking. Recommend timing your visit during May to September for the Village Tour.Written September 12, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Vanessa PCalgary, Canada1,250 contributionsStop and see. The building construction is so interesting. Medieval style and I am sure it is as old. The town it is not big, but super cute and easy to see all the landmarks.Written October 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RealalerWarfield, UK88 contributionsI'm not local to East Kent, but from Berkshire on hols. I discovered Gadd's No5 best bitter at the Ship Inn, Deal. Great beer in a great pub. I just had to visit the Ramsgate brewery that afternoon to taste the rest of their products, and buy some to take back. I enjoyed a very hospitable beer fan chat with Eddy, over generous tasters. Eyes left - bubbling oak barrels of gueuze - get in! The 10% Imperial Russian Stout 2014 brought out from the depths of the warehouse and tasted back home is a 10/10 beer. Joy. Jeff. - Hatfield_visitorBorehamwood, UK382 contributionsAnother great show by Merry Opera. They really bring shows to life and present with energy and humour. Theatre is small but provides an intimate space for this kind of production. Singers/actors excellent.... as were the Pianist and violinist. Staff/volunteers who run the theatre and helpful and friendly. Parking available in local streets and a car park just a few minutes away.Written March 11, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
