Lovely new Orthodox church with gorgeous photogenic interior, really religious feeling and just across the street from the beachfront.
By day, it appears as a magnificent Byzantine structure, basically white with gold surfaced upper domes, while the lower domes are bright blue.
The walls and ceilings have marvelously detailed paintings and the architecture is just breathtaking.
Quit new orthodox church, really nice decorated with a lot of frescoes and gold decorations inside.

The monastery has become the largest religious pilgrimage site in the country, with many Orthodox Christians and Catholics and Muslims paying homage to St. Vasilije, the founder of the Monastery.
The other church, dedicated to the Holy Cross, is placed within a cave on the upper level of the monastery and was painted by master Radul, who successfully coped with the natural shapes of the cave and laid the f...

The church is full of gifts of gratitude to Our Lady, ranging from silver plaques depicting limbs, ships etc., to bridal bouquets, to ships lanterns and bells and even sewing machines.
From the terrace on the south side of the church are views of the nearby Island of St. George (not open to the public), which has a 12th century Benedictine monastery sheltered by cypress trees.

Very old catholic church, originally a cathedral which has been renovated after an earthquake, but is very interesting the architecture and decorations inside.
Amazing, and I got to see the shrine of the Black Madonna.
A nice mosaic work on top of the entry door and tipical three bells tower above it ; Beautiful frescoes inside .
Visit this church if you are interested in Orthodox architecture and choral music (church services only).
This Catholic Church is distinguished by impressive 20th-century bronze doors covered in bas-reliefs, depicting the life of Ozana of Cattaro.
Saint’s remains in a glass coffin on the altar to the left when you enter.

There isn’t much there but the museum/church is really lovely and definitely worth the trip.
Boat trip across to the man made island, built just for the beautiful church.

Two inviting cafés for rest and refreshments and Avanturski Park with activities amongst the trees for young and old.
Must to see, so beautiful, very old, over the one century and mistic.

In the old town an elegant little church in a lovely square.
From the square, stairways spread out leading in all directions.
Beautiful church, now there is an art gallery inside of it.
A gem of a church with a beautiful Baroque style altar piece made of marble.
Kotor beauty
This is the perfect place to relax in the shade of centuries-old olive trees.

It reminded me of the Santa Maria de Montserrat Abbey in Catalunya as both pilgrimage sights are around amazing rocks in the mountain regions although Ostrog Monastery is of Orthodox Christianity tradition.
Located up in the highlands, those with fear of height might have a hard time during the ride up to the mountains.
The Church tower is a great beautiful tower that is the highlight of the beautiful town (apart from the view), and such a beautiful example of ancient Balkan architecture with the stone and the slanting roof.
