- LisbethPanama City, Panama16 contributionsA lot of butterflies! Amazing.
We spent 1hour and enjoyed the experience. All ages.
Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge.Written July 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Mike KHarrow, UK149 contributionsReally enjoyable hike. Starting from the official entrance we paid our $3 and unguided gently went up the steep and marked path. Going early we saw lots of birds and butterflies on the way, and the views at the top are stunning.
Once at the top you can either come back the same way, or continue down the face and body of the Sleeping Indian (coming down her neck is very steep !) and there are numbered concrete guide posts. At number 12 if you turn left down a well defined trail it brings you back to the town making a really enjoyable loop.Written February 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Andy MHuntsville, Canada7 contributionschecked out the waterfall and trails and the mountain water swimming pool. cheap entry fees, not much water in the falls during dry season. nice hike suspended bridge, the pools were great cool water to soothe the sunburn. not busyWritten February 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- LaraKZPrague, Czech Republic199 contributionsThe location is very nice but the zoo itself a bit suffering and in need of some update. There are so many colorful birds kids will definitely enjoy as well as the playful monkeys. A bit difficult to navigate as if you don`t pay attention you can easily skip some of the animals enclosures. We also got inside an area in reconstruction where they had some rescued animals that required more attention like a baby slot.
They also sell plants and have an orchid designated area that was closed when we were there.
I think people should support them in rescue effort and don`t just go for the golden frogs ... btw the frogs would be also in a kind of "cage" if there would still be there no?...Written February 27, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Anthony G106 contributionsIt’s a very « rustique » place but a fun expérience to have with friends or family if you want to relax after a hike to la India Dormida!Written January 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Claret PovedaPanama City, Panama8 contributionsIts a nice little trekking with a nice scenery and you might have the chance to have interesting encounters with some beautiful butterflies and animals. The square tree part was a little disappointing because they are not really THAT squared, it’s easy ti confuse for any other tree.
In the entrance though they have the golden frog for you to see!Written November 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Claret PovedaPanama City, Panama8 contributionsGreat for a family visit, it takes up like 30 minutes of your time because it is very small. The animals here are rescued and its a very noble mission to do so. A guide will be with you and explain everything about the animals they have there and the snakes, even let you carry one!Written November 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- flyer303_12Buffalo, NY250 contributionsWe enjoyed the mud masks and the small mineral pool. It was very nice that there were changing rooms and rest rooms. We even bought some mud for $3 to bring home.Written January 22, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- holeinonesummitBernieres-sur-Mer, France118 contributionsWe did this hike with our daughter and 2 granddaughters (6 & 12) it was well worth it although we didn’t see any birds as we didn’t start until 1130 am but it was worth the effort and at our age of late 70’s being overweight experienced hikers we enjoyed the view from the top.Good to do with families and you will see birds if you start much earlier in the morning.Written February 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Coronado55St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands10 contributionsThe staff were great about showing us around and explaining everything to us. It was a little bit disappointing that we went when not many of the orchids were in bloom.Written August 20, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kevin KCupertino, CA94 contributionsyeah, go give it a try. Rocky hike up, but several cascading water falls. NOT well maintained, handrails broken, trashy (hey it's Panama right, there's trash everywhere). Charge $3 US for foreigners, less for Panamanians. Bathrooms @ bottom. Locals will offer to guide for small tips $ Parking on street @ bottom free. The "painted" rock is hardly noteworthy, but OK.....it's Panama.Written February 27, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Garrett HLos Andes, Chile8 contributionsWhen you get there, you'll see someone standing by a rope gate. You have to pay $1 per person for entrance. Parking can be challenging on a Sunday afternoon.
There are a picnic tables and a part of the creek that widens out so that the water moves slowly enough for wading / swimming.
If you're sure footed, you can walk downstream to the falls. Its best to where footwear that can get wet because some of the path is through shallow bits of the creek. Flip flops and loose sandals are not recommended because you will have to walk over wet, slippery rocks that are by no means on level ground.Written September 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - BZBeijing78 contributionsOur driver took us here for a day trip, it is a nice place, local's favorite apparently. cooler than beach, lots lots of green. restaurants are decent, reasonable price.Written January 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
