We’re not huge Baseball fans, but wanted to experience a ball game, culture etc…. On our family of 4 holiday in NYC. We were not disappointed, Citi Field & the Mets were great.

Firstly it’s easy & cheap to get to via the Subway from Midtown & Baseball tickets are not overly expensive, with lots of options dependent on where you want to sit. If you are not sun worshippers, get tickets in the shade (Google it). The stadium is on the flight path, so a delight to watch the planes between pitches.

The stadium is great, modern & safe, we had great interactions with real fans. Lots & lots of catering & beverage options, it’s not cheap but embrace it. Plus lots of merchandise shops.

Check the bag policy ahead of going (backpacks not allowed) & take ID as you will be carded if buying alcohol. Evening game was great, as you could watch the sun set.

We loved it, family of 4 (teenage daughters) 3 of whom had never watched Baseball before. Do it!

I run regularly from Greenpoint to Long Island City. A very idyllic promenade with good vibes, great spaces for exercising and relaxation. I particularly like the wooden seats under the weeping willows. Great spots for detoxifying your mind from the hustle and bustle of the city. Cool historical landscape with sights of the old gantries, East River and Turtle Bay. Selfies and Insta post winner alert!

This Museum has something for everyone whether you are into the beginnings of film, technical stuff, movie, TV, whatever. Great section on Jim Henson. Allow plenty of tie for this place.

I love wandering through this great park early on a weekday morning. The birds, the dog walkers, and the relative quiet make for a wonderful sojourn.

I try to picture it swarming with fair goers back in the day but I actually prefer it this way.

As you enter the park from the nearby subway station, a small concession stand serves up great food and drinks at reasonable prices.

It is like I am in the Caribbean whenever I come to this pristine and beautiful beach with only an hour ferry ride from Pier 11/Wall Street. The water is clear and the sand is soft and silky as you walk along the shore, which clears my mind and soul. You could even bike on the boardwalk and may see some seals at certain spot by the water. It is a safe area with security control and the people are super friendly. There are many delicious eateries and bars along the boardwalk and the neighborhood. I particularly love "Tap That" bar where you could pour your own beer, wine and magaritas with delicious food including yummy streak frites!

I almost was not going to watch the tournament this year as I’ve done the last five trips to York. I was astounded at the ridiculous ticket prices, especially for grounds passes that were selling early in the tournament for $250-$300. Last year they were around $80. The purchasing of tickets and reselling them by corporations and ticket organizations is a real rip off to deserving people. I found something which was still too expensive but next year if I go, I am certain you can get tickets before the days events at the ticket office for a reasonable price.

Museum and sculpture garden designed and created by Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi originally opened in 1985 before his death in 1988. When it opened, it was the first such museum to be established by a living artist in America. Noguchi is famous for his sculptures many carved from stone and his public artworks but also is remembered for his influence on contemporary mid-century furniture including the Noguchi Coffee Table. A large collection of his works are on display at the museum. It wasn't busy when we stopped in making for a peaceful visit. The art is interesting, but I wish they had a much better Audio Guide. The Museum App made it hard to appreciate what is on display. I found the organization of the app confusing, and the information provided was quite tedious. $16 entry charge.

My first time going to the US Open was amazing. The train in was convenient and dropped you close.
The staff were excellent, the seats were perfect, and the tennis was the best!
It's pricey, but what do you expect!

Absolutely brilliant museum with a “must see” addition of an intimate guided tour of Satchmo’s home. No-one booking this will be disappointed. Hidden gem!

I happen to be a fan of novelty nicknames and I named my sister’s contact Astoria of a Light Technician and her name is Sarah!! I know the title is very broad and not obvious but she is a lighting technician living in Astoria!! I happened to hang out with her a few days ago and we went here to look at the trees and people!! It was big as was fun to walk around!!

We had fun visiting the hall of science. Our son is only 3 so we did not see everything. He really enjoyed the mini golf, bubbles, and the preschool area. We hope to visit again when we have more time.

    And that was it…?
The other exhibitions were of varying quality and unfortunately not so interesting. It’s a fun place, though.
