Fishermen's Memorial Monument Gloucester
#3 of 79 things to do in Cape Ann
We came here to see the memorial purely because we come from sea faring families and because of the connection to the crew of the Andrea Gail, we were big fans of the Perfect Storm movie.
Continue walking along the boulevard and you will see lovely gardens, walkable steps into a headland that houses a family oriented park,Stage Fort Park.

On the weekends there are lots of families there enjoying the park and beach, but there are enough trails and benches that you can usually find a quiet spot to sit and watch the world go by.
... at Stage Fort Park, I can only say that me and my family are so very fortunate to have this park to picnic, walk the dog, bring the grandkids to the little rock climbing wall and park attractions for the kids.

It's quaint little shops, beautiful ocean views, the classic Motif 1, and galleries lining the streets, all create a wonderful family friendly environment to visit.

Love having photos taken with family and friends, so picturesque!! Sometimes, you'll catch a lobster boat going by and coming to the docks to show his catch.
When they died, I inherited their framed print of this little harbour with Motif Number 1 - it hangs in my family room as a memento of those happy times.
