Plenty of wild flowers, peaceful and amazing views over all the surrounding countryside.
However, for me, the best bit was the amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

There is a great deal of history here and especially the history of carpet making.

Located amid orchards of cork oak and olive trees, 95 granite megaliths form a temple that is located on the road from Evora to the Lisbon airport.
Portugal's "Cromlech dos Almendras" is the largest megalithic monument in the Iberian Area and predates Stonehenge by 3,000 years!!! Cromlech meaning stone circle, from Welsh "crom" meaning circle and "lech" stone.

This is the most complete walled city I have yet to see in Europe.
They have been classified as a National Monument in Portugal since 1922.

The cathedral is one of the biggest Romanesque churches in Europe, and to my limited knowledge, its beautiful and big cloister has to be one of the handful of perfectly preserved Romanesque cloisters.
Wonderful surprises, courtyards, passageways, spiral staircases without railings, and expansive rooftop from which to look over the city and environs.

Unusually, the arches of the aqueduct have been filled over the years with vernacular buildings and the vertical space for each cottage varies from low to high as you travel northwards to the edge of town.
It was amazing to wander the streets and take pictures of the town.

Another beautiful church in Evora and you will definitely visit this as it is located next to the chapel of bones, This gothic style church was built in 15th century and one can see some renaissance style.
Uniformly designed but individually decorated chapels along the perimeter, a marble main altar, an elaborate golden altar in the cross-nave, and a separate room for secular members of the Franciscan order are all...

The BEST part and the reason I give five stars is the fantastic display of Nativity scenes donated to the museum by a family who has collected thousands of metal works, paintings, sculptures eat all from countries...
The Capela dos Ossos itself is interesting but doesn’t compare to the catacombs in Paris, however, the restored church tour and religious artifacts are worth one’s time.

One of the wonderful landmarks of Evora is its Roman temple, which is in very good condition, considering its age and the battles and earthquakes it has survived.
