The impression was that it was a longer walk than what it was. From the gate, up to the top, it took us 20min, out of which only about 5 was a strenuous climb.
That said, the views are stunning, definitely a must go!
To get there, go to 98 acres and walk through the hotel - ask the locals around about how to get there, everyone is super helpful.

A lovely tall waterfall, not a single drop fall but a cascade over several levels making for a very picturesque scene. Immediately by the side of the road with no entry necessary so no cost.

Went for a nice walk and got some great views of the valley and the water falls. You can buy cold water along the way at reasonable prices if you don't want to pack water with you.

The cave is located at the top of around 600 steps, so it's relatively challenging especially in the heat. It's a nice path and the steps are well made but in terms of interesting hikes, there are better options in the area.
The best thing about it for me was the view of Little Adam's peak which you can see across the valley at several points on the climb.
The cave itself is not so easy to climb through as it's very dark and the rocks are slippery. There isn't really much inside that you can see except bats.
If you're going I'd recommend taking a good torch and solid footwear.

Old traditional tea factory - the tour was a firsthand look at the process of how tea is produced from the tea bushes to the market. Our guide walked us through the factory and explained each step. Very good tour

Myself and my friend walked all day through Ella and was very tired. Saw this place in map with 10% discount. Went there to have a try. The cashier person gave us the discount. Two young ladies stated our massage. It was great feeling. All the stress gone away. We were treated with tea and coffee. Very good place to have a message.

Ravana Falls is popular and attraction sight in Sri Lanka. It is located near the wellawaya- Ella road. You can see it from the road. You can have a bath but it is risky.

First of all: If you are fit, not claustrophobic and willing to get dirty you should do it definitely. If you’re to big you cannot enter the cave. You should bring a headlamp or hire a guide like we did, the price includes the headlamps. Climbing into this totally raw cave through a small hole on a rope fixed to a tree (!) was one of the coolest things I ever did. Not knowing what was waiting for me I went there in flipflops and a white shirt. It took me only two seconds to find out that this was not the best choice because even the small entrance hole is very dirty and wet already. A big group right before us led to heavy traffic jam. You climb down using the knotted rope, than a steep ladder that’s missing every other step and finally crawl through a small way into the main cave. Than you can move more freely but be careful, it is really slippery. The cave is home to a lot of bats making noises in the far corners, sometimes flying over your head. When stomping the ground you realize that you are walking on mountains of their poop - but it’s to late because you already used your hands a lot:) The guides jump around like mountain goats with their flip flops but I wouldn’t do that at all because I did not see any rescue equipment at all, not even a pulley ore a rescue harness to get an injured person out through the cave entrance. So if you would break a leg down there you would be waiting a very long time until a professional rescue teams arrival. The cave descends 700 meters down until you reach a beautiful little lake. Some people were jumping in and had a swim. Then you leave the cave on the same way that you crawled in - dirty and happy. Just wow!!! Bring good shoes and move slowly. 4 stars because of the missing rescue equipment and the old rope that they use. That’s definitely something they should improve on.

Despite the current fuel crisis in the country, Indika managed to arrange a very fairly priced taxi from Colombo to Ella and then back with a stop off at a safari. Had a totally comfortable and relaxing journey on both trips with no dramas, the drivers were prompt, friendly, and spoke English. I will be using this service on every future trip to Sri Lanka
