- Haim BZichron Yaakov, Israel16 contributionsAmazing and breathtaking views everywhere. Quite a nice hike (if you don't take the shuttle, be prepared to take a two mile hike from the parking to the main Grove.
You also can't miss visiting El Capitan (after "Tunnel View")Written December 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Visiting in late october feels perfect... not as crowded as mid summer, but still able to hike in shorts. And you don't need a permit to enter the park.Written December 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bill KMantorville, MN6,852 contributionsThis is another park sight to view from various vantage points. It is a must do of the park, and one looks vastly different framed by various other parts of the park.Written November 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - aberdeenanglerAberdeen, UK851 contributionsThis is part of the road which connects the west and east sides of Yosemite National Park. The stunning views are endless. The road is almost invariably closed in the winter, though. It really makes for the most tremendously scenic trip.Written October 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve KauferNewton, MA905 contributionsWith seeing up close. This is just spectacular. If you have binoculars, bring them so you can watch the climbers. Easy walk to the base from street parking.Written December 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- phvi2617Anaheim, CA723 contributionsI've been to Yosemite several times, but this was the first time I did the Mist Trail, which is probably the park's signature day hike. The lollypop loop to Vernal and Nevada Falls and back via Clark Point is not particularly long (6.5 miles), but it is tough, especially on the steep and slick steps going up the Mist Trail. After that, it eases up a bit. Throughout the trek, you're rewarded with gorgeous views of both falls as well as Liberty Cap and Half Dome.
This is a popular trail, so it's best to start early, especially in the summer when it can get surprisingly hot in the afternoon. Since this is a strenuous hike, know your limits and be prepared with boots, plenty of water, and all the other essentials. There is no parking at the trailhead, so you have to take the shuttle or walk in from another lot. Be sure to check the park website as there may be trail closures. If you can manage it, this is an absolutely fantastic hike.Written December 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Jonathan Phan273 contributionsVernal Fall offered a serene and refreshing experience despite the cold weather. The mist trail was dry, making it easy to walk slowly and enjoy the hike to the top of the falls. Although the fall didn't have much water due to the ice and snow, the frozen landscape was stunning and peaceful. Perfect for a winter hike and taking in the natural beauty.Written December 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - steve kBoston, MA13 contributionsAbsolutely with the short hike. Spectacular view of El Capitan. Easy trail to follow. Would recommend to anyone. October is a great time to visit Yosemite.Written December 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jonathan Phan273 contributionsBridalveil Fall is renowned for its captivating beauty and the mist that creates rainbows on sunny days. The waterfall drops 620 feet and is accessible via a short, paved trail from the parking lot. The sound of the cascading water and the cool mist provide a refreshing experience, particularly during the warmer months.
The fall is especially impressive in the spring when the snowmelt is at its peak, but it remains a beautiful sight throughout the year. Bridalveil Fall is a must-visit for anyone in Yosemite, offering a serene and picturesque setting that captures the park's natural charm.Written December 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
