- Ryan M2 contributionsMy daughter (14) and I loved this. The instructors were excellent and engaging and they helped us tremendously. My daughter was a natural and was up on the second try. I on the other hand struggled... so they took the time to give me a little extra personal instruction on what I was doing wrong and I was able to get up, and stay up, on the very next attempt. It was super fun and my daughter and I will definitely be trying again the next time we get to the ocean. Great experience all around.
Word of warning for all middle aged desk jockey's like myself... this IS a workout. We did a 2 hour lesson and by the time we were done I was exhausted. Our lesson was in February (winter winds were howling), so we were constantly paddling on the boards to keep from blowing further out to sea. So there was no real down time from paddling. You don’t know on the day of taking a lesson what the waves will be like but we were fortunate to be able to get several rides each during our lesson.
Tomas was knowledgeable and very encouraging and the lesson gave us confidence to go out the next day on our own.
Definitely would recommend them to anyone wanting to a take a surfing lesson.

We met Shane and Neal because initially we had planned to teach ourselves… Shane came by in the water and gave us a free mini lesson, helped us get up our first time no cost at all. Find another surf school like that!
We came for a formal lesson on our LAST day and had a blast. All the other instructors in the area cancelled that day but Shane and Neal held strong!! We got some nice surfing, went for tacos afterwards. After a short safety instructions and short training on land you head out for waves.

While "training" was minimal, outrigger canoes are one of the safest vessels so we felt like we were in good hands with two team members guiding three novices. It's a relatively low price point as these things go, but doesn't take very long to catch three waves. My daughters wanted to learn to surf and they could not ave had two more patient people to teach them. We all went snorkeling and dove a sunken ship. Afterwords they took us surfing. Well I sat in a kayak and watched. They spent helped and encouraged them. These guys are like family to us now. We couldn’t say enough good things about them. - Viviana E1 contributionMy husband and I did a full day adventure with Connor. He was an amazing guide, and knowledgeable of the island. We wanted to avoid touristy places and have a more local experience. Connor was very understanding of our request and he showed us the best of the best. We did snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, and visited several view points of the island, among other places. Lockers and equipment were provided as well as an attentive service. Taylor my coach was exceptional. Clear instructions and feedback that helped me stand and surf within 25 minutes.
