- rencarLowell, MA93 contributionsWhat a gem of a place. Spent almost two hours wandering and enjoying some rare quiet In Honolulu
Nicely marked trails and due to the wetter than normal conditions the waterfall made an appearance
Adjacent to Moana Falls area so if you’re thinking of doing one you can likely manage both.

It costs $5 and they give you a map for a self-guided tour. They have a good variety of plants and it is a bit of an oasis. The Lili'uokalani Gardens next door have great Banyan trees, and is worth a visit.Written January 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ITRTVirginia38,539 contributionsThis garden is a plumeria paradise. Located in Hawaii Kai and there is a golf course on either side of it. The garden specialty is the cultivation of cacti, aloes, dryland palms, plumeria and bougainvillea. The loop around the garden is approximately two miles. We did not walk to the portion featuring species from Madagascar and Africa. The blooming plumeria and bougainvillea were a sight for sore eyes. We visited in March when the flowers were in bloom and the fragrance was amazing. Go in the morning and you will likely have the place to yourself. Free parking is available. It is open dawn to dusk.Written May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GaiSydney, Australia41 contributionsThe orchids were beautiful. There was a lot of unusual orchids. Unfortunately as we are from Australia we could not bring them home. Flakes are the only way we can bring them into Austalia and he had none for sale.but still worth the trip to see them.Written November 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Claire ALowell, MA4 contributionsThis was a really special tour. I grew up on the other side of Manoa Valley and always saw this house while driving by. The tour was very informative and who knew that there was such historical significance on the grounds of this house. It was a great opportunity to catch some history about the valley and experience a little bit of the liquid sunshine we get in Manoa.Written January 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Smitty's SSussex, Canada10 contributionsWorth a quick stop here. Easy to find, lots of free parking. Lots of different cactus. Good way to spend 15 or 20 minutes if you're in the area.Written February 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wireless_in_CAUnited States4,791 contributionsLocated on the first floor of the airport after security (between E and F) this garden was a nice place to kill some time while waiting for my delayed flight.
Lush, tropical, serene and quiet I can’t believe I was in too much of a hurry to never notice this before. Helpful signs described the type of trees and plants.
Benches were scattered around so one can enjoy the waterfall, listen to the birds, catch some sun, picnic or watch the koi swim around.
Highly recommend hanging out here instead of the gate or shopping in the stores.Written July 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I saw this one guy smoking a cigarette and fishing by the falls and he looked like he had some found some solitude. I on the other hand could not. Earlier, I had stained my shirt while gagging on my overpriced lunch. T-shirt stains always cause me serious 7anxiety. Now it looks like the equally overpriced toe wraps I bought to prevent my right ring toe from becoming blistered and deformed was/is also disappointing. Looks like some chronic homeless people live under a bridge at the end of the park. By the way I didn't see really any plumeria or flowers in this botanical garden. A couple shrubs were labeled.Written September 16, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
