- Riley DKaunakakai, HI18 contributionsSoooo much fun we had to do another room. I love the quality of the clues. It makes sense and it's not all over the place, there's a system. The game rooms just keep on going. Our game keeper Bryan was da best! He was so funny and so helpful! Def coming back!Written September 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sunshine7675831 contributionThis was new for 7 of the 8 in our party, and Jax was a fantastic guide. The one person in our group who has done a number of Escape Rooms said that this was at the top of the list. Very well themed, we all had things to do, and we had to use different problem solving skills. We would 100% recommend this for a great activity.Written November 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Julie D.3 contributionsOur group of three teens and two moms had a BLAST doing three escape rooms here. So. Much. Fun!!! We did three rooms in three days to get the discount: Island Missile Crisis, The White Room, and A Strange Case. We broke out of "Island Missile Crisis" and "A Strange Case," but "The White Room" stumped us (although we were sooooo close to breaking out).
Both game masters were so friendly and provided just the right amount of encouragement and very helpful hints. The rooms themselves had a perfect mix of logical and physical puzzles to work through. My favorite was "A Strange Case." It had a bunch of 80's memorabilia that made it very nostalgic for us moms who were teens in the 80's. ;)
I very highly recommend these escape rooms. I can't wait for the new rooms to open!Written April 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The game leaders were friendly and professional. We had a great time.Written November 26, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mac-Dee2 contributionsMy husband and I were completely blown away by the experience. Graphics are so realistic that I truly felt like I could fall off the edge. Combines problem solving and teamwork with good clean fun. Full of surprises and excitement. Best hour of our time here. - Mr Bye-byeKauai, Hawaii99 contributionsOverall, I liked the company and some of the rooms. The company was very flexible with the booking process. Thanks Romeo! We played three rooms with our team of five players. All three rooms were traditional puzzle/lock style rooms. I recommend the prohibition room and the pirate room. The Prison room is not worth the money. I think with a few changes on future rooms, this company could be a real contender in the Oahu market!
Prohibition Room
Our favorite of the three. The theming was great. We really felt like we were in a bar. The puzzles were well designed. There was enough to do with our group size of five. We have done over 50 rooms and this room still had some puzzle that made us work, think, and wrack our brains for the solution! That is the mark of a nicely designed escape room! Great for 4-6 players.
Pirate Room
Our middle favorite of the three. Nicely themed, some well-designed puzzles. Good for 3-5 players.
Prison Room
Our least favorite of the three. Theming was okay, cooperative puzzle design was good, but there were too many red herrings that wasted our time rather than having more real puzzles to work on. The construction of the room was a bit flimsy. Photos placed on the wall in critical positions were pinned and fell off the wall instead of screwed in place. There were arrows drawn on duck tape that was worn off making a major puzzle difficult to solve. Both caused us to waste time. This room needs some maintenance. The one electronic puzzle was frustratingly “finicky” as the game master put it. We knew the solution but had to fiddle with the puzzle components for 5 minutes before the game master came in and make it work. When the gamemaster enters the room it breaks up the immersion of the experience. This really needs to be fixed.
The Hint system
The hint system used either a radio or a tablet for receiving texts. Players should have their hands free. The radio had multiple channels and the one correct channel was changed by mistake. The game master entered the room to help which breaks up the immersion of the game. All of this is unavoidable. A better hint system uses the cameras and audio with hints displayed on the timer monitor. I hope they fix the hint system for their new rooms.
Room Construction
The Pirate and Prohibition room has little red stickers on items “not to be interacted with.” -- mostly items on the walls. This just takes away from the immersion experience. This is lazy room construction. Instead, items not to be removed should be properly secured in place. Two more rooms are in development and I hope the company fixes some of these issues for their new rooms.Written October 15, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
