The Japanese Cultural Center was easy to find, there is parking in their lot for a slight fee or plenty of street parking.
FYI, it is located close to Wakiki hotels. They had 2 exhibits, one was free and had a movie which was about the intern ment of the Japanese during WW2, and the other was an exhibit about the ancestry and life of Japanese in Hawaii, there was a fee. This exhibit was very interesting and well done. What was especially nice was that the peaople at the center circulated in the area and answered questions and explained some of the exhibits.

Beautiful Nohea Gallery! Formerly at Ward Wardhouse, Nohea Gallery is now located at Kahala Mall. Great Artisan crafted items. Elegant beautiful art pieces from local artists makes this store perfect to shop for beautiful handmade items. Just in time for Christmas! Staff great! Helpful and knowledgeable!

Located on the second level of the Lewers St promenade this is a very cool gallery and an artist I had not been familiar with. There is a variety of media, but the color prints on metal are incredibly sharp and vibrant. There are some incredible shots of older aircraft--one which I intend to own one day. We found the staff friendly and knowledgeable.

Mrs Poehl is a staunch supporter of local artists and carries quality works by a wide range of artists from long established ones to very young emerging talented artists. She is always thinking out of the box as to how to help artists as well as to enrich the general community's quality of life!!

The Gallery at Ward Center carries artwork by some of the best artists on Oahu. The work is not overly contemporary [like piles of sand in a corner], nor is it overly conventional, such as old, tightly drawn landscapes. Each artist in this gallery has a mature direction to their work and each artist's work is recognizable and unique.

This Gallery is a good source for Contemporary Art by Artists of Hawaii. The curator, Andrew Rose, has an excellent taste in art and has periodic open house to showcase either individual artists or a group of artists from all the islands of Hawaii. This is a excellent place to see what the exciting artists are creating.

If you are in the market for a luxury experience "Velocity Galleria" is the place to be. Rogerio Jordao and sales Manager Ron Kano were excellent from start to finish. It was a pleasure shopping for a vehicle with sales personnel that are knowledgeable and passionate about their product. The showroom is much more than cars, they have a barbershop that caters to everyman's needs. Say Hi to Paul Clayton at the barbershop, definitely a service professional. There will also be a restaurant and cafe opening soon, I can't wait. If the restaurant is anything like the showroom, it is sure to be a hit.

We stumbled upon this gallery when walking through the International Marketplace. I was impressed by the intricate and colourful bronze statue of an ostrich in the window.
I really liked all of art they had on display and had trouble deciding which artist was my favourite. The staff there were really friendly and showed us how the oceanscape paintings by one of the artists change when exposed to different light. Another artist has hyper realising paintings that could easily pass as photos. Yet another had moving paintings that melded art and technology. Come here and be impressed!

Beautiful art from a number of different artists. The art consultant, Evelyn, has a passion for art and was eager to share her knowledge with us, providing the history of the pieces, sharing insights into the artist's background and the inspiration behind their work.

Even if you're not really into art, Evelyn's enthusiasm is infectious and I guarantee you're coming out of there knowing a whole lot more and with the favourite piece!
    It was a delightful experience!
