- deborahj62Olympia, Wash.63 contributionsI tripped onto this place while planning our vacation because I read an article about its owner in the April 08 Hawaii Business magazine. I was intrigued that a woman would leave a successful career as an attorney to not only start up a tea business, but to do so well at it! I'd been considered a fu-fu (and expensive) "high tea" at one of the hotels, but when I found out she was responsible for custom blending their tea, I thought why not go straight to the source?! The Ala Moana site is little more than a kiosk and some tables, so don't expect an actual tea shop; but I was able to purchase several types of bulk tea to take home as well as a nice cool glass of iced tea to enjoy there. - Nicolle ZHolt, MI632 contributionsWe've walked by the location for the 4 years of its existence - until this last trip. And that's b/c we were on the look-out for Dole Whip. (Surprisingly, Dole Whip is hard to find outside of the Dole Plantation!)
