We made this a last minute stop and were very glad we did! Prior to going, I checked out their website and it said it encouraged patrons to purchase tickets online. I called prior to going on the day we went and they said that it was not necessary to purchase tickets prior to visiting. Also, my parents have a membership to a botanical garden in another state and they honored that membership! So, they did not have to pay admission. Shout out to Joyce at the front desk-she was so wonderful with answering my questions on the phone prior to our visit and was very patient with answering all of our questions when we arrived!

The collection of plants here was very unique! It includes a chocolate tree and carnivorous plants. Also, there were several water features with neat looking fish!

Loved seeing the polar bears! My husband and I try to only visit zoos that are associated with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The Buffalo Zoo is currently listed on their website as an associate until September 2022.

A cute little hidden gem in Buffalo. Collect drift wood, skip rocks, view the amazing sunset. It has sand as well so slip off your shoes. Visit the little convenient store and grab an ice cream.

It's perfect for an easy sunset walk through the forest and in nature. You will see many animals and birds. I suggest going for events as well. The staff are also very friendly.

This is a wonderful little square. Food truck rodeo nights are the best. I have also been there for events. Some are better than others, but its also a lot of fun.

Our original plan was Tifft Nature Preserve, but shortly after we arrived there we walked across the street and enjoyed a wonderful walk near Lake Erie. It was a beautiful day, and we fully enjoyed our walk. It was not at all busy...as we were there on a Thursday morning.
Loved everything about this!! We had spent time at Canalside in Buffalo, and it would have been nice to walk between the two areas.

Prima facie, we see the Buffalo/NFTA Metro Station, a collection of commercial buildings and a war/martyrs' memorial here. But the significance of a French aristocrat taking active part in American Revolutionary war as well as French Revolution does not get highlighted here easily. We keep seeing the images of Marqui de Lafayette in many places in Western New York. Only those who get genuinely interested in the old history gets info on the great man. Improvements can be brought to the park to make it a star attraction of Buffalo.

I really like this park. I rarely get down to that part of town these days but I loved going there with my family. I do miss having picnics and walks in the park. The pond was always full of cute little ducks.

Well let first say that they weren’t going to please everyone with the new design of this launch. Yes, I too believe the ‘islands are unnecessary but look nice. Also the launch and pier design is poorly thought out, obviously who ever designed it doesn’t own a boat or never launches it here. And the flow of traffic and parking is less than carefully thought out. The pre launching area is workable but insufficient during weekends and holidays. Allowing single cars to park near the launches is unacceptable and should be allocated to the rear of the lot. The cleaning station is inconvenient at best and parking is nonexistent. The wash off area is well designed and convenient most of the time. But the worst issue is the launching and retrieving, no one controlling the traffic in and out and leaving it up to the public to figure it out, possibly waiting for an accident to happen or a major fight to break out! Yes, more work needs to be done at this site but it is an improvement from the previous site and location.

This is a really cute city garden tucked away. You can get some really good photos too with the city hall behind the floral.

I live very close to this park but rarely visited until COVID. With the need to find new places to walk while staying safe I started walking here at least twice a week. The boardwalk through the swamp is always changing as well as the areas in the park area. It is a well frequented park so it feels safe walking around. The park grounds are well maintained.

It is exciting to see that Buffalo is finally taking notice of its waterfront. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

The Front park used to be famous in the past. It was quite renowned!

Now here is a highway nearby it, but it still has some beauty. The Front Park Nowak Pier is right in front of it. It's a perfect place for a walk. The river flows on both sides and we can walk in peace and enjoy the beauty around us.

One day I saw a heron and Canadian geese here. More and more people come here. Most of them do the trail, others are fishing. It's cool and worthwhile to visit.
