It might be too much walking around in the sun if you're there on a hot day, although there are misters placed throughout the maze, but on a good weather day it's a great family activity.
RIGHT next to it is a ropes course my kids enjoyed and you always tour the caverns all from the same parking lot!

Massanutten Storybook Trail

An expert hiker would look down on this little trail, but most travel families call this a hidden gem.

Warehouse Art Gallery
#10 of 23 things to do in Luray
Our son and his wife chose the Warehouse Art Gallery for their family and friends party the night before their wedding.
It's fun to walk through and explore all the pieces - I have always gone with adults but I'd imagine kids would enjoy it too, as long as they know not to touch any of the art.
