- Michelle V1 contributionThe spa offers some great services and has a very welcoming staff. Massages with Sandra are the best! She is extremely knowledgeable and knows exactly what is needed.Written June 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 2gotoWinnipeg, Canada267 contributionsThis course has amazing views and was in excellent shape. The wildlife is fun to see! The cacti were interesting. Cart paths were concrete and wide.
I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars as the restaurant was closed and therefore they had horrible port a potties for use. With a little water pump to wash your hands. On the course was no better as the toilets did not flush and they were filthy. We were told the range was included but there were only a few balls left for us to use and kids were running around playing with the balls. There was water on the first couple of holes and then we didn't see water again until 3 holes from the end. The carts have GPS but the seats were ripped on both sides so you had to be careful with your legs/clothes. I would go back as the course.Written December 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Greens all had lots of ball marks not repaired. Loaner clubs need to have lob and gap wedges.
Staff was all very nice and restrooms were clean!!Written January 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Greens were still a little sandy in some places, and lightning fast throughout the course. Gorgeous views, nice workers, cool course.Written December 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Art F8 contributionsTough course in excellent condition. Many holes, especially the par 3s require accurate shots. Restaurant not being open was the only disappointment.Written May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Patrick FRochester Hills, MI101 contributionsPlayed the Sonoran course with family members the weekend of a wedding. Elite course conditions and design, great service. Free balls on the great practice range was a nice touch.Written December 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dave SFlagstaff, AZ1 contributionBeing a municipal course, it is better than most. The winter overseeding made the greens, fairways and tees in very good condition!. Also being a muni, the pace of play is slow. $56 for a non resident is a bit high but I understand why. There are NO golf ball washers anywhere on the course.Written December 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kpevetoAustin, TX13 contributionsGreat experience at this beautiful golf course. As other reviewers said the course is in excellent condition. We also enjoyed the practice facilities. I wanted to give a shout out to the entire team. From the staff in the proshop to the outside services folks, all were polite, knowledgeable and efficient. After we arrived back at our hotel, my husband realized he lost his wallet somewhere between the cart drop off and the parking lot. Even though it was closing time, the Ventana Canyon golf staff went on a search for the wallet. They found it in the dark and arranged for it to be returned the next morning. Very much appreciated. We highly recommend Ventana Canyon.Written March 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brad WVancouver, WA229 contributionsStaff was great
we were warned ahead of time about not getting lulled by the front... but wow, what a contrast between the two sides of the course.
The front was much like most resort golf you expect - bowl shaped fairways that tend to provide friendly bounces. We were riding high on our successes, but then came the turn.
The back is built into what I guess was actually an abandoned rock quarry. Huge cliff drop offs, tiny landing zones, narrow ridgeline fairways, the works. It was tough. We got paired with a couple from New York and one of them was a club pro. He was throwing darts on the front, and losing balls on the back. Even shots that were relatively straight forward, the scenery in front of you gets in your head, so you make stupid mistakes.
No regrets and I'd play again. My thoughts later were "great place to pick up nine"Written March 28, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The staff were helpful, and the cost was $700 for a bucket of balls. I would recommend this to anyone.Written September 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TonylikestravelTucson, AZ213 contributionsGreat course to work on iron play. Not too many holes to pull out the driver but a few par 4s. Forgiving and not real difficult. Good sundowners rate in the late afternoon. Unlimited walking for a very reasonable price.Written June 3, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nick KTucson, AZ199 contributionsPretty nice course. No overly long or challenging holes. Went a little later in the morning and had the run of the course.
Course is pretty well maintained as well.Written June 7, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was not busy, however, the young lady made us feel very welcome, She provided a menu, not many items, but, sufficient for our purpose. One orders at the counter and pays when the food is ordered.
The food was brought to our table in a very efficient manner, it was hot, very tasty and very reasonably priced
They are also doing lunch now and we shall return in the near future to sample the lunch menu.
All in all a worthwhile visit and we encourage others to stop and give them a try.Written December 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were a threesome and the course marshall put a 4th with us and then let successive twosomes go out right after making us the slow group and causing us to hurry shots or allow them to pass. Should have been better managed.Written October 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
