Riverwalk in Downtown Estes Park
#2 of 44 things to do in Estes Park
Beautiful place to visit with your family and friends, the shops and restaurants along the river walk was outstanding and yes, I am planning to return to stay longer next year.
There's random musical instruments for kids to bang on, lots to see, a fun tunnel with decorated tiles, lots of cute little shops, and fun things to see.
Estes Park Visitor Center

Overall this place is really good for stopover , you can really spend some good time with family fishing , walking on trail, photography and have picnic n all.
When part of our family wanted to do some early morning hiking (and use the Wagon Queen Family Truckster) in Rocky Mountain National Park, others of us were able get a quick ride downtown (via the Shuttle Service)...
Peak to Peak Scenic Byway
#3 of 44 things to do in Estes Park
... far off the highway (Eldora Mountain Resort), casino gambling (in Black Hawk and Central City), a remarkable family friendly carousel with hand carved animals (Nederland), and great places to eat along the way.
There are great restaurants on the way and you can always stop for some snaps with your friends and family.

The downtown area, river walk, shops surrounded by the amazing views makes me wish my family lived in Estes Park.
Beautiful vistas, fun shops, wide variety of restaurants and plenty of open spaces for walking, sitting and kids playing.
3 Ways to experience it
Estes Park Aerial Tramway
#10 of 44 things to do in Estes Park
Great for kids of all ages, the gondola trip to the top of Prospect Mountain is fun if a bit harrowing, and ends among rocks and trees anchored by a gift shop.
Our family of four (mom, dad, 5 year old, and 6 year old) had a wonderful time riding the Estes Park Aerial Tramway and exploring at the top of Mount Prospect.

The putt putt was fun and a great place for the kids and adults.
Lake Estes Marina

Kids loved renting the bikes and pedal car, the 5 person pedal car is really hard to pedal going uphill so we wished everyone would have go regular bikes.
We fished (caught 4 delicious trout!), rented bikes, a pontoon boat and our kids played on the play ground.
Red Rose Rock Shop & Dick's Rock Museum
#7 of 44 things to do in Estes Park
This family owned business has a wonderful collection of rocks, some to just look and many for sale, from very small and inexpensive ones to ones large enough to have to use a pickup truck!
The kids will love seeing the museum like variety of rocks, crystals and fossils.
Estes Park Memorial Observatory

My little family loved learning the history of Estes Park!

Estes Valley Dog Park
#18 of 44 things to do in Estes Park
Great place to bring your dog and family friendly too.
There is a lake there, without any fences towards the back area by the highway to watch for should your furry family member decide to make a break for it!
MacGregor Ranch Museum
#19 of 44 things to do in Estes Park
The history an the story of the ranch family is truly fascinating with one of the first women lawyers, a signature from President Grant, and beautiful artwork!
