This is definitely a must see! It’s small enough and just right with every animal you can imagine, including Rhinos!
We got to see the crocodiles being fed, what an experience. A true joy!

OK beach, their was a lot of trucks driving up and down the beach on a Saturday. Nice views of the SpaceX launch pad and facilities.

    Cool day trip.

Sanctuary was quiet and enjoyable. Unfortunately due to off season and dryness there was not a lot of wildlife. Seen the most activity at the bird feeder area. It had nice walking areas!

Not only is this State Park a cool place to see some local wildlife, it is also a great place to get your steps in, or to take the family for a bike ride. The views are fantastic, and you can see the denser areas of original plant growth versus the newer growth areas with smaller trees and more brush / plains. It's a learning experience that is pleasant and to spend a few hours enjoying the raw beauty of nature. I go for walks there, and I enjoy the peaceful sounds and sights. I see something new every time I go whether it be a bunny den, or an armadillo trying to hide from view as he hides in the brush. Several trails to choose from, but the biking is restricted to the paved road that runs throughout the park.

I took my children here when they were 5 and 6 years old and they can stay busy for hours here. It is very educative as they have so many role playing areas so the children can be doctors, shopping for groceries, be a broadcaster, etc. It has many activities for all ages, 2 and up. It is best for a child of walking age. The place is very clean and temperature is cool. As you enter, you will have a large gift shop on the right and in the front you will have a museum. The museum displays different things throughout the year. The facility does have a yearly pass or pay as you go. Yearly pass is recommended if you plan to go often and also provides access to other events for free. You can have birthday parties here as well. I had a birthday party here and enjoyed it very much however I have only one complaint. It was for only two hours and that can go very fast. We happened to get their late so I had less than two hours to celebrate. The museum does close completely for the party so only your guests can enjoy the who museum and games. But for $500 for two hours, I think I would reconsider. However, you do get the whole museum for yourself!

Lots of stuff new and old to buy, didn't notice too much repetition as others mentioned. Great produce and food! Enjoyed the day. Tips: don't bring your pets, not allowed on the property (even in your car), do bring comfy shoes, big place.

A recent visit to the Stillman House and neighboring museum was well worth the effort. The museum was very interesting, well organized and informative. Fairly small but loaded with well presented information. The lovely Stillman House has additional information and offers a sense of what life was like in the 1800’s in Brownsville. Definitely worth a visit. Great for history buffs!!

We visited this mall on our vacation on Padre Island. This is a usual mall with the shops you used to find on malls in USA.

This interesting and well maintained old cemetery is a great place to visit when in Brownsville. It offers an opportunity to learn more about the various families who settled here. A history lesson in itself.

The Camille Playhouse is celebrating its 55th year offering love theater to the Brownsville community. We attended the February 2019 production of A Chorus Line. The classic stage production was very well produced, had excellent talent and good support in the music, lights and costuming. The theater itself has open seating: all seats have a clear view of the stage. The comfortable lobby had refreshments available prior to curtain time. If the quality of A Chorus Line is an indication of the quality of productions at the Camille Playhouse I can definitely recommend that you take in live theater here.

This site is the last battle of the civil war (2 weeks after the war ended) Nice ride to the site, and on the same road is the head quarters of Space X.

If you are a bird enthusiast or even a bit interested you must go to Oliveira Park at sunset. We were completely caught off guard by the sheer number of parrots coming in to roost in the park. What a delight! They are not too intimidated by people and landed in a tree right next to us, there were thousands of green parrots. I would go again just to watch them, they were quite entertaining.
