Atlanta Magic Theater
#1 of 47 Concerts & Shows in Atlanta
I went with a group of 10 of us, and we were able to snag front, center seats - and I would do it again!! I've been to a few shows before and thought that this show was My Favorite Magic Show!
We were surprised to meet Peter Morrison personally during the pre-theater portion of the show, where he mingled with every table and exhibited amazing tricks right before our eyes.

Especially if you are staying downtown or midtown on a Thurs, Fri, Sat, or Sun., the chances of enjoying a great piece of theatre in Atlanta are greatest at the Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse.
We were walking down Peachtree Center Street to take a look at the historic Fox Theater and saw the Shakespeare Tavern which was having a preview performance of Richard II.
Center for Puppetry Arts

Fabulous little museum of puppets, mostly dedicated to the work of Jim Henson - seasame street, the muppet show and Labyrinth in particular.A puppet show and puppet making workshops are also available.
The Labyrinth is my favorite movie and when I saw it in the theater for the 30th anniversary they talked beforehand about the Center for Puppetry Arts with a Jim Henson exhibit and temporary Labyrinth exhibit.

The Tabernacle
#7 of 47 Concerts & Shows in Atlanta
Love the atmosphere especially great for acoustic shows!! Typically get general admission so it's standing room on the main level for most shows, but there is upstairs seating and a cool bar on the upper terrace.
The prior reviews here are quite accurate, this is a very nice spot for a concert, allowing for a more personal experience than we had, for example, at Infinite Energy arena when U2 played there in May!

Chastain Park Amphitheater
#8 of 47 Concerts & Shows in Atlanta
The restrooms are very clean, the staff very nice, and if you're lucky a very nice evening under the stars as all concerts are rain or shine!
Tablecloths, covered candles, flameless candles, flowers and the like were all spotted and did contribute to the ambience of the theater.
Atlanta Symphony Orchestra
#9 of 47 Concerts & Shows in Atlanta

Lovely concert hall with excellent acoustics, comfortable seating, and exceptionally courteous and helpful staff!
Variety Playhouse
#10 of 47 Concerts & Shows in Atlanta
It gives the feeling of a club now rather than just a theatre isolating you from the bars and allows an area for people who want to stand and mingle and still see the band.
Attended the Peter Hook and The Light concert here over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time.

Theatrical Outfit
#15 of 47 Concerts & Shows in Atlanta
Their shows are so creative and beautifully done; the acting is top notch; and it's an experience in a smaller venue where you can almost reach out and touch the actors.
The Theatrical Outfit in its green space renovation of the former Herren's Restaurant provides an intimate, up close, and inclusive theater experience where you almost feel a part of the cast when attending a perf...

I just enjoyed a concert (Colbie Caillat) last evening at this venue for the first time and it was great!
Even the seats at top of this auditorium-style seating theater aren't very far back at all.
Coca-Cola Roxy
#22 of 47 Concerts & Shows in Atlanta
a lot of their shows are general admission so people line up hours beforehand, but if you're a seasoned concert-goer you know you can always get up front if you want to.

-Arrive early for a better seat upfront as you are assigned numbers upon arrival which becomes the order in which you enter the theatre.
The theatre was stadium style so you don't miss anything and the performers were first rate and funny as hell.
