- OlympiatravelerBelize City, Belize13 contributionsI returned to Sicily primarily to visit Zingaro where I had hiked 20 years ago. It is still breathtakingly beautiful. I was able to take two hikes starting at the south entrance which is near Scopello. The entry fee is 5 euros. I was given a good map of the trails in the preserve at the entrance. I hiked on the main trail to the north entrance and returned to the south entrance. With my side trips to the several small coves along the way I covered 10 miles. There are several other trails in the preserve with many more opportunities for day hikes. Wild flowers were blooming in abundance.Written March 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- MaggieCUnited Kingdom20 contributionsVery good beach, very nice team. One suggestion: when people usually rent a space, it means that that space is private usually. When we went to Spiaggia Guidaloca, people from the free beach were sitting just in front of us and preventing us to see the beautiful view of the sea. This is a bit unfair and not nice, especially during COVIDWritten August 21, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tri77dublin4 contributionsThis is perfectly Run. Lovely beds and umbrellas. All in good condition. Mini playground if you have young kids. Reasonable price restaurant with decent food of pastas and fish or pizzeria on other side. Full bar all day. Staff all Super friendly.
Toilets not the best.
Water is so clear and it’s a fabulous Sandy beach. One of the best waters I’ve swam in.
And one important thing- if you are walking from town , it’s about 30 minute walk. At one point the footpath just ends and you are on a very busy road. It’s quite stressful walking this 100 or so metres as we had young kids with us with Cars almost clipping you as it’s a windy part of the road so difficult for cars to see you.Written June 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As many of the other reviewers have already written here, this is the location of the last scene of Ocean XII, when Brad Pitt and Catherine Zeta Jones meet Albert Finney aka Lemarque.
All the shades of blue, gree, turquoise combined with the terracota red of the walls of this special house, the rocks on the sea again...everything is perfectly in place for a memorable photo.
But should you pay for this photo 8 euro/pax, and another 5 or more for the parking fee outside?
Just for a picture?
Keep in mind that staying there won't be a treat as most of the time it is overcrowded.
I'll let you decide.Written April 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Of course beautiful tho. This beach was rocky but still nice.Written October 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OzNL16 contributionsNice sandy beach. Is crowded in the summer but arriving early around 9 has more than sufficient parking places. Enough bars around for a quick ice cream or drinkWritten August 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lovisa B1 contributionVery nice and calm part of the beach. Great pizza and very fresh bathrooms with shower! Super friendly staff that seemed to be a family, that put in the little extra effort to make us happy! We absolutely recomend!Written June 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Elisa MLondon, UK29 contributionsWe live abroad but always return to Palermo for a few weeks in summer; never before been in this place but such a nice discovery. Not sure why people say is a tourist trap/ask you to book and pay considering they have staff working, the place is impecable and there’s a guide doing tours of the tonnara at every hour (worth doing the visit).
Price also includes a sunbed and water is nice and blue. Never overcrowded as they have a limit of daily visitors.
I would recommend to anyone around the area; views are breathtaking too from the moment you start going down the hill.
The only negative point is, if you didn’t bring your food and expect to eat something there, the choice is small, not many varieties of sandwiches or other options, same for the drinks.Written August 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tough to get in and out of the water gracefully, lol. The water was clear, fish all around- I think I encountered a fish I read about that goes after the bubbles you creat swimming but ends up nibbling on your feet. Still worth it.Written February 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dan MTel Aviv, Israel15,592 contributionsThis is a Marina like many others in Sicily, and like most of them it is a view to see and not to miss.
Catellammare del Golfo is a beautiful small Sicilian city.
You will walk some narrow and interesting streets till you reach the main street leading to this port.
There are many restaurants, eateries and shops of course, many shops for us, tourists.

The tower is easily reached from the parking areas and is a steady climb of about 20 minutes. Views from the top are superb over the village, the old tuna factory and wide expanse of coast.Written March 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barbara Gkampala24 contributionsHad researched the local beaches and picked this for the pool and facilities because of broken foot
No pool arrival but life guard very helpful and got me a suitable lilo. Beach very very clean and service was good.
Toilets good and changing area very adequate.
Would definitely go back.
Life guard quick to advise of rough sea and unsafe swimming.
Got a paddle though with broken foot.

So writing info now.
This is a small city but just gorgeous.
First we visited church and prayed to find grandfather in this small place.
A thought came in to my mind and directed me to this fishing museum.
The man who worked there was just so kind. His son ( I believe) came to help with English. We found the family member. The member was in a photograph hanging on the wall. We were amazed. Again, this place is small, people know each other. We found our family member.
They left Italia to go to N.Y. We came back to see the place where we are from.
This fishing museum has lots to see. Not too big, but enough information and lots of photos.
The 2 gentlemen were excellent to meet and speak with. They gave us a fishing hat. We sent them a present from N.Y. to say thanks for good time.
Lucky we prayed at the church. We came to find family and found! All thanks to this fishing museum.Written October 16, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
