... but we pushed on and were rewarded with spectacular views of the cliffs and a few great bits of knowledge from paddy about the cliffs and local area made it all well worth the very reasonable cost of the trip.
The scenery is breathtaking and Paddy's local knowledge makes the journey really interesting.

It has a wonderful combination of location in only of the world's most beautiful valleys, the replica of several types of housing, a very tempetting shop and a delightful "Teach Tea" of tea house.
The Folk Village also has pre Christian standing stones, an old school house, a very informative video of Fr MacDyer's influence in the Glen and the community development initiatives he mentored.

We were pleasantly surprised by a very sweet young woman who gave us a personal tour through the factory (now museum) after we watched a 20 minute video on the history of the hand-made rug factory in the town.
We then looked at the fishing heritage with a retired fisherman whose experience shone through.
