We were there in early June and there were not a lot of vendors. They had some really nice items. We only purchased an ornament, but it was very unique. Younger people would probably find more things…we don’t need or want much at our age.

There’s a decent number of shops but the food court is a little bare. Cake (a dessert place) was delicious! Restrooms overall are clean.

This hidden gem provides a look at a wide variety of arts and crafts throughout the hospital, be sure to explore. The gift shop has some amazing items...be sure to have cash, they do not accept credit cards.

We loved this quaint little art shop which is staffed by the artists whose work is on display on a rotation basis. We could have bought more had we not been short of room for the flight home but we thought the prices were very reasonable.

These people suck. bought and paid for an aurora light art print. more than $1,000. Told us we would receive one from the artist. They refused to ship the one from the wall. Well, that was in July. It is September and we have not received our art. I would not recommend buying from these people. they suck!!,

Lovely local mall, not your typical outdoor or populated mall in sunny states. Somewhere to walk around in circles during winter if you’re not a winter outdoors person.

My husband and I were in search of a local photographer to bring back work. We found this place and last minute Carl was able to fit us in before we had to catch a flight. It amazed my husband all the knowledge he had of each place he had photographed. He even shared some tips for how to photograph waterfalls when we go to Iceland. I highly recommend making this a stop if you love original work and want something different than all the same stuff in all the downtown shops.

My wife and I attended a cooking class with Twisted Spruce Kitchen and the experience far exceeded our expectations. I was a bit hesitant because the class is held in their private home but the kitchen is extremely spacious and Natalie and Phillipe are so warm and welcoming. The class size is limited to six people which is very comfortable and allows participants to ask any/all questions and receive thorough instruction for the dishes being created.

The food and instruction were exceptional and the wonderful conversation with Natalie and Phillipe throughout the class was equally enjoyable. I would highly recommend Twisted Spruce Kitchen to anyone interested in learning how to prepare delicious food. We will definitely be attending classes in the future!

We came across this local gallery while shopping downtown on our recent stay. They had some beautiful prints and photos! We bought a pretty Northern Lights photo to bring home as a souvenir of our travels here. Thank you!

I wish I could give this store more than a five! While staying at the Captain Cook, I walked down the street and saw signs for the antique gallery and walked in. Their selection of one of a kind items is unbelievable. I returned two or three more times during my visit because I loved it so. The owner, Walter Earl, is charming and so knowledgeable. Everyone in the store went above and beyond to make my shopping experience wonderful. They shipped one of my items and it almost made it home before I did. My other items were package perfectly for me to carry on. I couldn’t ask for a better experience in this charming store! I can’t wait to return the visit again! Highly recommend a visit here.

Good spot if you are looking for a piece of AK to bring home with you. Great selection of local artists. We checked out a couple of galleries and felt like Stephan had the best selection. There are a couple other little shops in the building as well so be sure to walk around.

I appreciate the out of the ordinary theater that shows up at Out North. Go for a first friday art opening, or the best of the Brits.

Cabin Fever is an amazing "jewel" of a shop in the heart of downtown Anchorage. The friendly staff and cozy store welcome you in to browse and engage with the quality local items from bookmarks to earrings to puzzles.

Cabin Fever is a MUST stop for anyone who knits or knows people who knit. The yarn is in the back of the store and within a locked, 4 shelf high, see through cabinet is the hard to find and super incredible musk ox yarns! For good reason, Cabin Fever keeps the musk ox yarn under lock & key; however they will gladly open the cabinet for you as well as explain the story of the musk ox yarn and why it's so valuable. They feature 100% musk ox yarn in addition to a variety of blends (70/30; 50/50, etc.). Yarn lovers, treat yourself to some 100% musk ox yarn as it's the softest, warmest, finest yarn the world has to offer and it's available at Cabin Fever! We bought a # of items there (earrings, puzzles, bookmarks) and of course, musk ox yarn!!
