We had a great tour guide who explained everything about making coffee; you can sample all their flavours and purchase coffee and tea from their shop on-site.
After a beautiful drive up the mountain to a cloud rainforest you come upon a small coffee farm offering a free talk and short tour of their coffee operation .

Greg and Marty opened there doors at the farm and factory where they make soap, kukui oil, chocolate and Kona coffee so that 2 couples could do some power shopping.

A was a bit of a drive to find it from Kailua- Kona city center -- it is located in shared quarters with the US Post Office as the owner, Kathy shares her candy shop with her husband who runs the Post Office.
We visited this candy shop twice during our two weeks on the Big Island.

Located along the oceanfront, “Kona Inn Shopping Village” provides a leisurely opportunity for visitors to explore shops, galleries, boutiques, Hawaiian gift shops and restaurants.
This was one of my favourite places because of the variety of shops (works of local artists, boutiques, jewellery, souvenirs, gifts and apparel ) as well as places to eat.
