What travelers are saying
- Family D7 contributionsWe cycled up to the top from Bol over Murvica. Mid-day and hot, it took us 3hrs+ to go up and 1hrs+ to descend (same route). For me a very difficult climb (gravel bike). We ran out of water and the Kiosk at the top was closed (Sunday afternoon) which made things even more difficult.Written July 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Iván PMariazell, Austria2 contributionsBol is NOT A SANDY BEACH!!...It is nothing like on the pictures! It is a peble beach like all around croatia....and also there are boats ankering around it. It is a nice beautiful place worth to see it, but they lieing about it beeing sandy.Written June 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- EugeneOregonUSAEugene, OR191 contributionsWe came by foot from from Bol via Via Brattia trail. From Blaca Bay we hiked up to Blaca Monastery. Fantastic 16th century dwellings with ton of history. Place is well preserved and taken care of. Guided 30 minute for 40HRK is well worth it . Highly recommended.
Fast, short trail option is to use rough road and arrive by car to the trailhead north of hermitage and then hike steep 0.75 mile trail down to the hermitage.Written June 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kings and Queens LondonLondon, UK755 contributionsWe hired a scooter ( as we are staying at Bol on Brac) and this was one of our stops on the opposite end of the island. If you have walked the Riva in Split this is a mini version.it has boats/ scooters for hire , a few boutiques , some supermarkets, ice cream shops and a promenade of cafes / restaurants. There is also a pretty church and bell tower ( worth a stop). it’s a nice walk in the little quaint streets behind the promenade to see some old stone houses with little green shutters. It has a small playground and a people beach.Worth a stop for a couple of hrsWritten June 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Cyndi BPortland, OR14 contributionsEXCEPTIONAL wines, tour, view. Especially the Vrhunsko! Had a glass and bought a bottle. Hoping to order from US. View, snacks and tour were amazing.Written October 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ReneeTravelTheWorldSan Rafael, CA998 contributionsIt is a nice place to see but only if you are staying somewhere without water access. It is busy but lots to see and do in the area for sure!Written August 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CMPMiami, FL15 contributionsGreat hike! Start early as it can get really hot later in the day…
We brought our kids (8 year old boy and 6 year old girl), we were concerned they wouldn’t make it but Zoran was really patient and helped us keep it interesting and fun for them!
Bring about 750ml of water per person, hiking shoes, hiking poles (if you have an injury), sunscreen and a hat.
It is easy to slip on the way down, stay focused and in the middle of the trail!Written July 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - NickellFamilyTravelLos Angeles, CA2,096 contributionsIt makes for a nice walk before dinner to burn up some calories. Otherwise it is nice to see. The walk from the port over has a couple of seedy streets, so after dark might not be a good idea. The port town seems very safe.Written September 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Phillip REbbw Vale8 contributionsCalled in here after a lovely sail from Vis island and the mooring staff were excellent. The wind was causing problems and the staff were able to advise so that we could moor our charter boat easily and safely. The daily price is fair and cheaper than the ACI marina in the town and the shower facilities excellent and very clean.
There’s also a stunning restaurant 100 metres seaward so what more could you ask for?Written July 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kings and Queens LondonLondon, UK755 contributionsWe hired a Scooter for 3 days and there is one main road that heads towards most attractions.on the third day we headed towards Seca, sumartin and pulija .Selca is a small inland village with a quaint church and great examples of stone houses.Heading further is sumartin with a great large promenade with lots of restaurants on the waterfront and loads little coves for swimming and sunbathing .Pulija ten mins away is very similar ( but smaller).. We liked this part of the island of Brac as it provides glorious view to the villages and has a very relaxed feel about it .We hired a 125cc motorbike and found the roads good and safe and not busy.( rental is 350 kuna a day or 900 kuna for three days….from the bike rental on the Bol promenade ( there is only one). head towards Supertar and u will see most attractions signed up on yr way) Stop off at katolina restaurant for lunch ( see separate review) for relaxing views whilst u lunchWritten June 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ANA M4 contributionsThe food was amazing, wine delicious, service quick and very nice. The view from the terrace is beautiful and the scenery of entire place is magical. It us necessary to make reservation several days prior (i made reservation on wednesday to get dinner on monday!). I would definitely recommend to visit this place.Written August 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- moriepieDesborough, UK201 contributionswe came across this by accident and found it a very nice place to have a walk around some lovely gravesWritten October 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jumbojo2017Damerham, UK108 contributionsInformed that Croatia exported naturism tourism we had been repeatedly disappointed at the FKK beaches we had encountered before discovering this one. Well signposted from the road and carpark (40k all day) we climbed down a well trodden route down the cliff side before discovering there were steps a few hundred yards further down the beach, lots of secluded spaces between rocks with SAND - rare in Croatia. All ages and nationalities. Magnificent clear waters and fish for snorkelling. Fab views across the bay, boats and other island from the beachWritten September 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MimiLondon, UK14 contributionsWe didn’t get the opportunity to get deep into the history of this building but it is definitely worth visiting. The building besides it is in ruins inside and so interesting to see!Written August 18, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
