    Epic morning fishing trip
    While traveling to Panama to visit a friend, he recommended Carlos to take us out fishing during our stay. Once out on the ocean, we saw humpback whales, sea turtles, and a few jelly fish. Within minutes of putting the rods in the water, we all caught fish. Such a great morning. When we were deciding we were getting ready to leave, I was realing in the line and something bit the live bait. I continued to real in the line and a big red snapper came to the surface. This was another highlight to the day.
    We highly recommend Carlos to take you out on the ocean for a great adventure of fishing.

    Surfer after one class
    Was afraid from the water and the instructor was super patient.

    An absolutely great experience!
    The Surf Dojo is a must for anyone visiting Venao and for those especially interested in starting to surf or improving their existing skills. The staff was really exceptional, couldn't say anything greater about how warm and welcoming everyone was. The surf instruction was fantastic.

    I was a true beginner, they made the whole experience super easy, helped me make real progress over the week, and even more importantly had a great time doing it!

    I got to spend some time working remotely there, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Also, be sure to try the Acaí bowl!

    Better Call Kerri!
    If you are thinking about doing some scuba diving in Pedasi, I say Kerri is your go to divemaster.

    She offers PADI certified dive trainings, as well as dive & snorkel tours at Isla Iguana; that's approx. a 20 min boat ride from Pedasi with an incredible variety of marine life.

    Pedasi is located in Los Santos Province on the Pacific Coast and it is around a 4 hour drive from Panama City.

    During my recent visit (mid-June), we did 5 dives and had an average visibility in between 60 - 70 foot range. The water temperature was pretty pleasant and I used a 3mm short sleeves wetsuit.

    Kerri provided all the equipment rentals which were in perfect conditions, and arranged the dive sites and boat transportation.

    I'm quite petite, a minion you might say (155 cm, 95 lbs) so, finding anything my size is quite a challenge. Nonetheless, my star host never disappoints and among her assorted equipment she was able to provide just the right fits for me to dive comfortably, hassle-free. So if you are planning a family trip, don't hesitate to reach out to her.

    Overall, it was a great experience and I can't imagine you wouldn't enjoy it either. In my humble opinion, Kerri is not only an experienced/exceptional & knowledgeable diver but, she also conveys confidence, trust, and patience during your dives and throughout the entire trip. I'm an Advanced Open Water Diver and whenever I plan a dive trip to Pedasi, I only trust & recommend her.

    Best Experience possible! <3
    I actually stood on a surfboard for the first time on Playa Venao and taking my first lesson at Club Venao was the best decision possible. Pierre and Roxanne are incredible nice and helpful people! They and our instructor Tibo took so much time and effort to give me and my boyfriend the best experience! We both stood on out board on our first lesson and learned how to take turns in our second. If you ever make your way to Playa Venao, make sure to take a class with Club Venao. I promise you won’t regret it! :)

    I was happy with the tour I booked to San Blas with one night sleepover there. Ariela at the tour desk in Selina was so helpful with booking trips and answering all questions about how to get to other cities etc! Thank you :)

    Pedasi Tours - horseback riding
    Super nice people - Caroline, Jeremiah & Maria! They booked the horseback riding tour and since we spoke very little Spanish, they drove us to the location and rode the horses with us! It was my first time on a horse. I did pretty well but it wasn't my favorite pass time but my friend loved it. The trail led thru or crossed the river & since I'm short (5'3) I had a smaller horse & my tennis shoes kept getting wet - not a good feeling. There were lots of monkeys in the trees so that was a nice bonus. The tour cost $50 each but we later found out that we could have booked it for $15-20 each so do your research before booking!
    I fell in love with the town. It's very very small but everyone is so nice.

    Second stay at the Club
    Good location in Pedasi with nice staff, completely revamped diving operation with good equipment for rent. Basic but comfortable rooms.

    Playa Venao Just Agustin!
    He is an amazing surfer!

    The lesson with him was really good. He knows how to pay attention to mistakes and how to fix them. Great guide!

    Captain Negro
    Fished with Captain Negro 8 times while I was in Pedasi for a month. After reading the post regarding the additional monies charged I have to ask how many times has this guy ever gone fishing in his life? Negro charges $120.00 to fish for approximately 6 hours in and around Isla Iguanna. It is a bare bones operation by a salt of the earth type of guy who busts his ass in a 23 foot panga. Negro, has a reputation of being a guy who is honest and hard working. If anyone evr has any questions please do not hesitate to ask
