I enjoyed an evening tour about "Women and the Magic of the French Quarter" with David Lord that started and ended at Hex. What a lovely shop! Bright, clean, spacious and well-stocked, Hex was a breath of fresh air from tours meeting at bars or smokey side-street lounges. The shop keeper was kind and accomodating, while giving shoppers plenty of space. Perfect way to start and end an excellent tour - surrounded by volumes of books on a wide range of esoteric interests and historic grimoires. The tour took us around the lower river-side quadrant of the French Quarter, showcasing familiar stories about women like Marie Laveau, Madam Lalaurie, and Mary Oneida Toups while defining the magic that is already all around us. Truly a wonderful evening and beautiful shop.

Loved this shop! Stumbled upon on it on one of our many walking adventures. I love all the art from local artists. A lot of unique pieces and a lot to look at. From jewelry to art prints and tarot cards etc. I left with a beautiful major arcana card set for a friend. The quality is 10/10 and it was the perfect gift. I’ll definitely come back for more gifts and personal items next time I visit NOLA.

We visited NOLA for a girls trip (the majority of the group it was our first time). We wanted to experience a taro reading and didn’t want to do one on the side of the street with everyone drunk everywhere. (Not to say we don’t enjoy the buzz and energy of the city - it’s fabulous, but not what we wanted for our reading) we booked a group reading with Claire - wow she was impressive! She made us feel comfortable, we didn’t give her any information to start off with, she really showcased her ability to connect what she was sensing and feeling to each of our situations. She provided so much insight into our cards and lives, I was personally moved. 20/10 would recommended any day! I truly wish we could connect via zoom because I wouldn’t want to refer to anyone else after working with Claire.

Ricky helped us tremendously as well! He was extremely knowledgeable on the crystals and stones. He helped us look at solid jade bracelets, gave us a ton of insight on the different kinds of jade, and topaz. He gave us so much information and was so friendly. Fun fact - it was his birthday and our friends! Emma was amazing in checking us out and scheduling our appointments, so sweet and friendly!

The energy of Earth Odyssey NOLA was incredible, peaceful, but motivating and inspiring. My only sadness is not being able to visit more often!

Highly recommend getting a reading from Kamille. She's not just great; she's legit. Don't normally write reviews but had to write a review for her because she was that good. It's one of the few times i've seen where you could pop in for a reading at any level in your spiritual journey. And I truly mean from "Never had a reading before" to "I'm pretty seasoned with divination" and she will still give you goosebumps.
To put it in perspective, I came in not looking for any of the "common" stuff like wealth or power or money, but things very hyperspecific to my own personal spiritual journey and growth, and the information that came to her were so specific it surprised me even as a seasoned practitioner in divination. When someone says "I don't know why but I need to say this" and it's completely arbitrary to her but not to you, you know there's more going on than just woo.
Also, she demands you not ask or tell anything to hint at the process until after the session, so that automatically eliminates most of the ones who can be analytical and just extrapolate information from there instead of using divination practices and truly believing in the craft. Everything that came to her was authentic, specific, and could not have been retrieved from outside sources or analytical thinking.
Tl;Dr if you want "the real thing", Kamille is who you want. This whole store is what you want. Cannot recommend it more to both the seasoned witches and the spiritually curious / skeptics. Just wait.
Oh and finally: affordable pricing. You'll never find a reading this good anywhere else for $45. Seriously. I've had people charge twice as much for BS vague answers, and this was definitely not that. They could honestly charge more if they wanted.

Aunt Sally’s was founded in the tightly knit French Creole community of New Orleans in the early 1900s. In 1935, Diane and Pierre Bagur opened the first Aunt Sally’s Praline Shop in the French Market. Today, Aunt Sally’s operates two retail stores with the flagship store being located at 810 Decatur Street in the French Quarter. It was great to see the traditional sweet, (like nutty fudge), pralines being made and the smell was just divine. Of course I had to buy some to take home to the UK so the rest of the family could experience a sweet taste from New Orleans.

We were please with the artwork the co-op had on display. There is plenty of variety for anyone looking for a gift or for themselves. We bought some pieces of wood shaped as acorns. So pleased to find out the artist was behind the counter for check out. He was so happy to see us buying his pieces. We would love to come back to the co-op again some time.

A friend of mine suggested we check this place out during our stay in New Orleans, I am so glad she did!
We took the ferry over to Algiers, which was a bonus point of fun. Watching the guys work in the shop was fascinating. The finished pieces in the studio are all so stunning you will have a difficult time picking your item to take home with you. They have pieces for most budgets, from $16 up to, I have no idea because if it looked expensive I did not touch it :D.
Take the ferry, walk around the area and see some great houses then go see Mark and his amazing work.

I went to see the lights and learn more about it. The store has beautiful lamps and in the back they have a shop that is decorated the same way as it was in 1945 when they first opened. They changed location in the last ten years, however, everything is so interesting that it feels like you are at the original place or at a museum. They have seats inside the shop and you can sit there and watch the staff building lights. The artist building the lights also explained the history and other fun facts about the lights. This is good for all ages. And the back alley is another work of art! It has beautiful lights and architecture mixed with flowers and a stone pathway.

Interesting place although they don’t appear to allow photos. It’s on the smaller side and quite busy but neat things inside!

This place will bring back so many memories if you are 40+. My wife had to remind me of our travel budget because I was going crazy over the oldies in CD's & records that I wanted for my collection at home. All kinds of music right here along with very affordable prices. Nice people working there.

Love this lil' shoppe! The orange blossom scent reminds me of my youth as a pre-teen roaming through Florida gift shops in the seventies. The minute you open the door at one of those oceanfront stops, there's a profound scent of Neroli lingering in the air. Nestled amongst the citrus boxes filled with oranges, grapefruit, honey, and pecans, this scent is commonly detected. The added luxury to this item is the burgundy velvet drawstring bag with gold gilded logo lettering. As an optional nominal purchase, it is well worth the price of it's weight in gold as you bask on your posh pedestal of life's lil' luxuries!
