Nice touristy open air market to check out while in New Orleans. We passed by this during our minibus tour and a hop on/hop off bus tour, so pretty easy to get there.
It’s stop #2 if you take take the city sightseeing New Orleans hop on/hop off tour.
Lots of local vendors selling shirts, souvenirs, art, jewelry, and more. Bought a pair of turquoise ear rings for $20, supposedly we were his first customer of the day…
If you get the munchies or need a drink, there’s a vendor for that. Refreshing mango smoothie at Organic Banana for $7.

VERY cool shop! The practitioner we spoke with we extremely knowledgeable and friendly and genuinely wanted to help. We were recommended a visit to the shop by our tour guide from the night before (shout out to Doug from Hottest Hell tours!) and we definitely were not disappointed. The alters were awesome and I loved that they all had some information on the spirit they were for. Prices weren’t insane, and products seem to be high quality. 10/10 would definitely go again if I’m in NOLA!

Frenchman’s art market is on Frenchman’s street. Very art and music oriented area. Lots of activity and plenty of live music.

Museum quality antiques and art you can day dream about owning. Very fun to look around and staff was super nice considering no one in there probably had the budget to buy.

While walking through the French Market I spotted this vendor and stopped to look for a gift to take home. Just the nicest people and all of the products there were beautiful. I had a tough time deciding and the jeweler spent time with me, showing me options and helping me decide. Once I decided on a piece, he polished it up and made it shine...although it was shiny to begin with. Their prices are really reasonable and I went back on a Wednesday to buy more but they weren't there. I'll be sure to find them when I go back on my next vacation as my only regret is that I didn't buy more when I was there the 1st time!

I hadn't been here for a number of years and so many cute shops are gone. There's no food court any longer, and only a few shops. It used to be a bustling place to window shop and snack...

To think we almost missed this gem! We walked into a grocery store and commented on a cool sign over the register. The owner said, “Oh, that’s Dr. Bob’s. His gallery is around the corner. You should check it out”. It was such an experience. Dr. Bob even smiled for a picture…he’s not much of a smiler!

Craig Tracy is an impeccable arttist. Each work is so unique and beautiful. He is frequently there to talk, and the prices are very reasonable. There are different sizes and shapes, to please everyone. We own several.

We vacationed in New Orleans for a week and a visit (strolling along Royal Street) to this art gallery was a highlight of our trip. The art work is very unique and charming. Carol
Siekkinen, the owner, is so lovely, friendly and kind; she even had a box of tissues on hand (for visitors, like me, who were so moved, got "emotional"). Readers take note: do yourselves a favor and place this inspirational art gallery high on your 'Things I must do in New Orleans' list!

Had a wonderful day in the markets the food choices and shopping was great. I was a little surprised by all the souvenir shops set up, I was hoping for more artisans. Over all, glad I went the people were friendly and the happy atmosphere made it worth the visit.
