We always stop at Boutique du Vampyre when visiting Nola! You've heard stories of ghosts and vampires in New Orleans, so I'd recommend checking out this fun shop for the atmosphere and cool gifts.
Boutique du Vampyre is a great little shop with strange curiosities, beautiful locally made objects d’art, and friendly knowledgeable staff (April is the best!)

Hex also has so many amazing things in the retails store front, from local sourced herbs and candles, tarot cards from many artist from around the world, amazing books, charms and spell kits.
After doing extensive research, and going into three tarot card shops and reading a ton of reviews, the peace and ease of Ellie was the perfect choice.

Creamy pralines are a favorite candy, and this is the shop to get the best ones made!
Conveniently located next door to Cafe du Monde, the chewy pralines are made with molasses and taste like the best pecan caramel you've ever had!!!

Amazing place to pick up unique and handmade items from authentic NOLA artists.
We ended up buying a beautiful hand-pressed leather journal for our daughter (which she loved) and talking to many of the vendors.

Each year we head to New Orleans and each time I go I must stop at the French Market to purchase my annual birthday and anniversary gift along with some Christmas gifts for my Mother-in Law from Hasan Cicek.
Mr. Hasan Cicek was very helpful in finding a gift for my mother while shopping in the New Orleans French market.

This place has been around a long time and if you want to duck out of the chaos of the streets of the French Quarter for an hour to see some amazing antiques, I highly recommend this store.
4) Fantastic selection or art, antiques, jewelry and unique items.

The shop itself is a legitimate spot where one can really learn about the religion of voodoo, and if you wish to buy souvenirs or anything from herbal cleansing soaps to candles to books, this is the spot.
We saw so 4 "Voodoo" shops.

The selection is always excellent - many different styles available in a small footprint - and the service is always very warm and friendly. No nonsense pricing and always a great shopping experience.
It is always a pleasure to come into this beautiful uptown shop.

A big rave, finally, for the gentleman who was running the shop the day I visited; he truly is a "gentleman," highly knowledgable about Southern authors, and most generous with his time and attention.
Fantastic little book store tucked away from it all.

Take the ferry out to Algiers for $2 and stroll around some historic homes, grab coffee and enjoy gorgeous art glass being created and displayed.
We had the best time, and left with amazing glass Christmas ornaments, great Facebook photos, and terrific memories.

Great place to roam looking for bargains (clothes, silver , souvenirs, creole food shops etc etc and stall holders will barter, as it is undercover if its really hot or pouring rain its comfortable.
But it also has the Cafe du Monde, general retail shops for gifts, some art in the back Alley area, and any number of shops to buy pralines, gumbo soup, beignet's, and king cake goods to take home.

The best shop to visit for all of new Orleans local artists to shop, see and buy, it is my favorite, if you can’t find some local artists high and souvenirs from your NOL trip it can’t be founded.
There are many artistic works and crafts to choose: from paintings to sculptures to jewelry to photography prints --we were pleased with the selection

With all the activity in the French Quarter, this yarn shop was a sweet spot to take in the yarn (and if you’re into needlepoint, too) offerings while the street parades go by.

The guys in the shop are friendly and knowledgeable about the products and history of the gas lamps usage in the Big Easy.
He was interesting to watch, and friendly to chat with about what he was doing, and how gas lamps continue to be a ongoing business, shipping product right across North America.
