We knew we had to take our friends on this tour during the wedding weekend. - Rini M3 contributionsI had been hearing about Confederacy of Cruisers for a long time. However, as a native New Orleanian I just never found the time to go do a bike tour of my own city. So when my 2 college friends came in town in March, I thought, let's give it a try. The tour we did was of the Marigny and the Bywater - for an uptowner, it was like going to a new city..... And it was absolutely terrific. Our guide was Danny, and he was beyond awesome - fun, interesting, and so knowledgeable!!! I was the only "native" on the tour as all the others were from other cities and even Europe, and I know that we all loved our tour. Danny even ended our bike tour with the best bloody mary that I have ever tasted. I loved the stories she told about the wicked women who helped build the city of New Orleans. We had Uber pick us up - I would suggest scheduling the Uber and giving them the exact address and adding some identifiers because our driver didn't know where to go. You can add your own music if you wish. We shared a boat with another bachelorette party and shared the playlist. We saw some alligators while we were out there too! The tour was focused on having fun and definitely was flexible to what your group needed. My husband and I love history, not so much ghosts and vampires, and Rob provided stories about the French Quarter that were interesting but not silly. The tour takes you through most of this area at a slow pace, which worked great.
