First must stop was the K&B sculpture garden at the NOMA. It’s dazzling with outdoor major artists works. Eg Robert Indiana LOVE, Rodin, Claes Oldenberg and many more. It’s all Free! Next stop was MS Rau on Royal in the Quarter. It’s a grand antique store that is a museum unto itself. Artists; Rembrandt, Rodin, Picasso, Warhol, Magritte; it’s definitely worth seeing, 30 minutes = a quick walk through, but 1-2 hours is more likely once you’re there. After Raus, go to Hermes bar on Rue St Louis, (it’s part of Antoine’s). Have a bowl of gumbo. It’s a great place to stop, relax, and reconsider all the beautiful objects you’ve just seen. Have a poorboy at R@O at the lakefront. It’s where the locals eat for lunch or dinner. It’s casual, inexpensive, and their gumbo is great - try their olive salad! There’s so much more, Oops, I forgot to tell you to make a dinner reservation at Brightsens Restaurant. It’s an old New Orleans home converted into a fine dining establishment. It’s probably $50+/- pp and worth it! It’s our favorite in the City. Bon Appetite!
