Darren was our tour leader. This tour changed my life. Everyone must take the tour once in their life.

This is a very good place to spend 3-4 hours with your kids. Mini zoo, mini aquarium, science movies; it got it all in just one place.

This is a a truly lovely and meditative space. Great for walking. Inspirational plant arrangements. On 4/13/22 we spent about 90 minutes enjoying the scenery and walking around on a beautiful spring morning. Hard to believe that there was no fee but it is an open park!

Great history, great area to walk or bike. If you are into our history this is a great stop. They do have a store video you can watch before your tour the park.

A very different type of garden walk. Enjoyed the wildlife, boardwalk, stone work and plants that thrive in this natural habitat

We were in town to meet my son at Elon College and decided to kill some time. We thoroughly enjoyed this two story museum showing the history of Greensboro. They have static displays of historical objects but they have also incorporated hands on displays for younger audiences and teenagers.
We really liked their town square area showing what Greensboro was like around the turn of the 20th century.
Definitely worth and hour or two of your time. And the best part? It's completely free, although they do have a donation box at the entrance where we added some of our own. Very well done museum.

Nice trails. Well established gardens. Good restroom facilities. Watch out parking. The car next to us was broken into in less than half an hour. Believe criminals were sitting in the lot watching people come and go.

Bring the whole family for movie nights in the Summer. It would be a long night, specially for the little ones but it's worth the experience for the young ones and the adults.

This was originally my home water park until I moved to Florida back in 2015. Now coming back here I realized how small of a park it is but it's still a great time! The only reason why I docked one star is due to there main rides ALL being double rider rides. So if your a single rider like I was during this particular trip, you'll miss out on a lot. Also a majority of the rides are the same ones that were there last time I was here back in 2012, crazy lol. They have a new ride that will be opening next year, but that's next year. Either way I had a great time. Enjoy!

Attended a basketball tournament this past weekend and overall I would say the facility was pretty good. The courts in such a tourney are temporary in nature so the down side is they use a floating interlocking floor that seems to shift, especially near the outside. The seating is very limited as they position folding chairs around the parameter of courts one and two but if you're on any of the other 6 courts you are limited to seating at the baselines....leads to lots of people standing to be able to watch a game. I don't mind paying $35.00 for a weekend pass at all but most venues are more accommodating and given the choice I would rather play elsewhere.

In town for the first time to attend a women’s lacrosse game at Greensboro College, we wanted to see some things nearby rather than risk a late arrival. My niece encouraged us to check out Blandwood Museum, based on comments she’d heard, though she’d never been there herself. It was a great suggestion. When we arrived, late morning, we were the only ones there. The docent, a history major, essentially gave us a private tour. She explained that currently the museum was in the process of changing some of the exhibits so a few areas we could go to were temporarily closed. She seemed to have lots of information about Thomas Day an African American furniture maker, several of whose pieces were now on display. She was excellent about asking if we noticed differences/similarities in various furnishings and seemed pleased that we had at least some of the correct answers.

While we didn’t take photos, I wish now I had taken at least a few. I think I was so absorbed in her tour, it seemed like a private home tour with a good friend, that it would have seemed overly intrusive. Our guide shared a lot of details, seemly a great judge of when to keep talking and when to stop. I regret not knowing her name as 75 minutes went by exceedingly quickly. If we return to Greensboro again, it would interesting to see it again.

Not busy at all on a Monday morning. Beautiful foliage around the lake. Good solid workout will some decent hills. Combination of asphalt and hiking trail. Stretch along Lake Brandt Rd was pretty busy with cars. Otherwise, it was awesome! I added a little extra A&Y Greenway to get to 13.1 miles.

I grew up going to Bur-Mil for the driving range and par-3 course (which was not very good back in the day... cannot speak to that now). However, I visited today on my walk on the greenway system. Some wonderful views of the lake, and plenty of parking. A couple good trails and greenway access.
