Walnut Street Theatre
#3 of 64 Concerts & Shows in Philadelphia
It's the oldest theater in America, with an interesting history including that President Thomas Jefferson and the Marquis de Lafayette attended it's first theatrical production in 1812, the Rivals.
We always love the Walnut Street Theatre, as it is so charming, and full of pictures and memorabilia from the last 2 centuries of theater.

The small space (The Latvian) in which these plays are performed adds to the enjoyment of the performances due to the intimate nature it gives to the performances, that is so important in the creation of theater.
