Great place to go and spend an hour learning about the liberty bell.
Its history, its significance, its multiple reuses are well explained.
The bell itself with its crack are a must see.

There are now two bronze Rocky Statues next to the Philadelphia Art Museum, something the fans of the "Rocky" movies will enjoy seeing this now famous film prop. There's also now a Rocky-themed tourist & souvenir stand next to the main statue, so you can get more information about all this. Interesting to see this fictional character's statue next to other statues of actual American heroes along Benjamin Franklin Parkway, such as General Washington.

We visited this statue en route from the East State Penitentiary to the Rocky Strps.
It’s worth reading the narrative to understand why the statue is actually here in Philadelphia.
    It’s certainly impressive

A brilliant statue honoring President George Washington immediately in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It’s a large circle in the middle of several major roads yet safe and easy to enter

It offers a nice view snd several good photo opportunities of Philly

    Go enjoy

Located in Independence Square (behind Independence Hall), I must admit I had no idea who this was. The fact that it only had "BARRY" on it intrigued me so I took a pic. I later found out that he was the first commodore of the U.S. Army. Glad I took a pic. Lol

It is a really touching memorial and the artist put a lot of detail into it. It tells a story and is worth taking it in as a whole and up close.

Easy to find next to the independence hall.

Nice spot to sit down and relax.

    Contemplate what happened around here.
Nice spot to sit down and reflect.
    A quiet spot indeed.

Right next to the Hall, but away from the crowds.

Bring a meal and have a picnic.

The Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial is actually a series of monuments and plaques arranged in a small park. It is pretty standard as memorials like this go, but it does a good job of explaining the war and the sacrifices it is honoring.

Quite an impressive building close to the Masonic Temple. The building takes an entire street block. You will enjoy the architecture of this one. William Penn stands on top of the building in all his glory.

I need to buy a book about this conflict. I didn't know that the battle lines moved so much over the peninsula. Nor that the US lost so many troops. Moving tribute to those who served. Good explainers available. Well worth a visit.

I gave a higher rating because a statue keeps the past alive. Smokin’ Joe was one of the top fighters of his era.

If your near City hall then take a look at the worlds largest clothes pin, it seems completely out of place where it is situated but its art, so who knows, worth a look.
