Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park
#2 of 4 Sights & Landmarks in Fort Oglethorpe
There is a gift shop, and library, where you can purchase books on the Civil War, or view the collection of military weapons.
We've visited National Parks and Civil War sites throughout the Southeast, and Chickamauga is one of the most fascinating.

Great family activity, more geared towards kids but if you like amazing views it is definitely a must see! Awesome rock formations that you get to walk through and the fairy caverns are a work of art.

The views under Lookout Mt are incredible and the history is very educational, very well laid out and the tour guides treat you like friends, they really love their job... we will come back and bring our Grandkids.
Known as the "Battle Above The Clouds" this national park offers some breath taking views of the river valley and is a good alternative to RCG with an incredible view and a little more historical value.
