The Metropolitan Museum of Art is HUGE. Like, we're talking "could spend a week here and still not see everything" huge. But even with our limited time (and increasingly whiny feet), we were blown away. The collection spans centuries and continents, from ancient Egyptian artifacts to modern masterpieces. The atmosphere is both grand and welcoming, and we appreciated the clear signage and accessible layout. Pro-tip: wear comfy shoes!

As big fans of modern art, we were looking forward to visiting the MoMA. The MoMA has a huge collection featuring many of the most well known works of modern art, and you will definitely encounter familiar sights within a few minutes of entering; among (many) others, during our visit we viewed works by Warhol, Liechtenstein, Van Gogh and Picasso. We were lucky enough to visit several very interesting exhibitions. I really liked the "Crafting Modernity: Design in Latin America"-exhibition, which featured a wide array of modernist posters, but also furniture and household appliances created by Latin American artists between 1940 and 1980. Since I am very interested in Expressionist art, I was also glad that we were able to visit the Kathe Kollwitz-exhibition, which as people familiar with her work will understand was an interesting but also emotionally loaded experience. The MoMA obviously is a very large museum and you have to know in advance that in a few hours, you will only be able to explore a certain percentage of the museum. Even so, a definite must for anyone who likes modern art.

It was amazing to be able to go on the Intrepid, you do not appreciate the size inside until you are there, it is huge. Great display of aircraft on deck and to see the space shuttle Enterprise inside was great. Lots to do and see, give yourself plenty of time.

This place has had a total upgrade since the first time I went!! You can absolutely appreciate this museum whether you are a pride or not. It has what you’d expect but also has a whole historical side to hit. Games to play as well!! It was too much fun! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!! 😘😘

Brilliant look into the history of living in Lower East Side. Each tenement represents a different era, however, they are separately-priced tours. Ben the guide gave a passionate tour of the 1950-70s apartment. It’s advisable to book at least 24hrs in advance to get the tour you want at the time you want otherwise you’re only offered what’s left on the day.

Hard hat tour is a must! I had no idea how extensive the hospital was, let alone how much they did to take care of the immigrants. It was one of the best hospitals in the U.S.! Don't let the "hard hat" description intimidate you. The place is kept in a certain state of decay, but the way is pretty smooth. We all thought the description would put people off unnecessarily. You should wear good shoes, but everything is pretty level, some short stairs, walking inside and out. Great experience!!!

Small museum of historic value, well worth a visit. So glad we saw these beautiful rooms with an amazing personal collection of priceless artifacts, paintings, and books. After having read Susan Orleans‘s book, The Library Book, it was especially interesting to me. Make sure you join one of the free tours with a docent!

This place was amazing. Very moving and really well done. Very respectful. Can't believe I got to hold things that were kept from 9/11. Highly recommend

This is an amazing collection, three magnificent Vermeer's kick off the visit, intimately displayed in room of their own. You can visit the whole museum in 1-2 hours, so you don't get overfed with art. I actually enjoyed this more than the big ones.

We had a couple of hours to spare on our last day in NYC and one attraction left on our Explorer Pass to headed off to Madame Tussauds. Itreally is prettyv cheesy, but there has been some effort put into grouping the celebrities and present them thematically. There is also a 10 minute Marvel Universe 4D movie which is entertaining enough.

Enjoyed a few hours at the Whitney. Well laid out and easy to navigate. Nice view of Manhattan from some floors too. Would recommend.
