Take time to take in this well put together museum. Shocking but emotional. Crowds shuffle through horrifying displays in respectful silence. Excellent information throughout. Very well put together avoiding being sensationalist. Go early, it gets busy. Take time afterwards to reflect on the horror that this event created.

There is so much to see. You should plan multiple visits if your schedule allows. We barely made it out of Egypt, and we've been there before. The exhibits are very informative - take the time to read all of the descriptions. We stopped walking after 2 hours; we were getting a little tired. Trust me, 2 hours is not enough time to explore this museum.

What an interesting, quiet place among trees, shrubs and flowers. The walk from the subway up the stairs was invigorating and well worth it. The exhibitions of European medieval art is outstanding, and the gardens with their many plants and herbs an inspiration.

Beautiful building. Tours are offered twice a day. They are free, but you have to register online and they fill up. some rearranging of spaces is going on, so some rooms are closed, but you get to see a lot on both floors. Don't miss the separate exhibit of some of the library's permanent holdings, including the original Winnie-the-Pooh animals that belonged to the Milne family.

I'm an aviation and enthusiast and decided to add this visit to my NY vacations... it was worth every penny. Just to be on the inside of a real aircraft carrier was awesome, they have a lot of exhibits of what it was to live in there and all the operations they carry on.

Lot of airplanes of the date as well, and its really stunning to go and see the space shuttle on a real size. I paid for the concorde experience, and it was really awesome to get on the plane and see the cockpit.

I have to do some parts of the boat fast because it was almost closing time so i didn' enter the submarine as well but i'm definitely coming back.

The Hard Hat tour of Ellis Island hospital. 1.5 hours long, amazing history and stories, max of 10 on the tour, worth booking.

Whenever possible, visiting the museum is always on my to-do list for NYC. As a former resident of NY and NJ, I've been able to visit numerous times; first as a child and now as a senior. Of course, the dinosaur bones are very popular, but I love all of the exhibits. Even now, I am still learning new things at the museum.

Always wanted to see MoMa and was not disappointed. Although the art work displays are not to my liking, I highly recommend checking it out.

The Frick Collection was assembled by Henry Clay Frick (1849-1919), an immensely wealthy American industrialist. The Collection concentrates on Old Masters, especially from the Renaissance. It was a high watermark of European creativity. Frick donated his Collection and his grand residence on Manhattan's Upper East side to the public. The Frick House is currently undergoing renovations, so the Collection is temporarily on display at the Madison House, which was formerly the Whitney Museum of American Art. The Frick Museum houses one of the finest Collections of Old Masters in the Americas it's well worth a visit.

Honestly… the whole thing is such a rewarding experience. This is such an interesting and important historical building and the audio and visual tours have been arranged so incredibly well. From the ferry ride over and back from battery island, this is such a positive and welcoming experience. The needs and comfort of the weary tourist have been carefully thought through and you can wander around at your leisure in air conditioned environment with so, so much of interest to see and learn.

I've been to many of the museums in NYC, but this is the first time visiting the Morgan Library & Museum. The Library is quite unique, and the exhibits are few but also worth seeing.

We had the opportunity to talk directly to the Workshops' founder, Gary Suson. At the time, we were in New York City for a 5 day trip and we had seen already a lot of the major sites. We had planned a special day for 9/11. We didn’t know was that his Workshop was closed Sunday-Tuesday, and we expected we would have to miss it. Instead, he returned our call and invited us to come over and set up a personalized tour with one other family. We jumped at the chance.

I did voice my concerns about the content for our kids, who are 4, 6 and 10 yrs old. Gary reassured us that no jarring audio or graphic images would be presented that might upset them. His content primarily chronicled the experiences, artifacts and memories of the rescue teams who searched for months (through all kind of conditions) for survivors or their remains. It was so unique as Gary told his story of being there, taking photographs and working alongside so many brave people.

The kids were very attentive in good part because there are so many ways to learn – an audiovisual introduction, an interpersonal conversation and a kinesthetic opportunity. That’s right – Mr. Suson allows you to touch or hold several artifacts, including rare window glass or metal from the building’s support beams. Frankly, you won’t have that opportunity at the 9/11 exhibit! He graciously answered questions and gave us plenty of time to have a meaningful and personal experience amongst his collection. And he’s a darn good photographer, too.

The N.Y. Historical Society is a true gem for anyone interested in history. Go see the current exhibit "Meet the Presidents". That exhibit contains a "Tour of the Oval Office", which is a replica of the White House Oval Office. The Society's Library is also very impressive!

While tickets are a bit pricey, the overall experience was super fun. The SPYSCAPE museum offers some games you can do at home in advance of the visit, and the Batman experience has a section to play in advance of your visit and hours more of playtime for after your visit. The games may be a bit frustrating for younger children, but all-in-all it was fun to challenge myself to do well and to beat my friend. I would definitely be open to visiting again. I advise against getting VIP tickets - they are expensive and unless you want the nice baseball hat that comes with it. The bracelet that comes with VIP tickets is not worth the money.
