Definitely a must-see in New York. I read reviews saying that taking the free Staten Island Ferry would be enough to view the monument from the sea and planned to do that. However, my husband wanted to visit Liberty Island to see the monument up close, and I must say, it was worth it. The island wasn’t busy and we walked around calmly and took some amazing photos.

Stunning architecture for what is really a high-end shopping mall. Great setting in lower Manhattan, The Oculus has a beautiful interior as well as exterior. Well worth a visit!

I just recently heard about the Charging Bull, so I put it on my list of things so do.
However, there was a HUGE line to wait into climb on it's head
    and
just as long of a line to touch it's testicles for good luck.
    Therefore, we only walked by.
A fun stop- IF you are in the area already.

This is a nice part of Central Park with the Imagine Mosaic Memorial for John Lennon. While the mosaic was a lovely touch, the area did not seem to be looked after very well. A few more nice flower beds would have made a difference to the ambience of the area. It is a solem, but happy place to visit though.

Very lovely statue. It’s in a lovely part of Central Park. The only downside is there are kids that climb it and it’s hard to get a good picture without them on it. It’s still a pretty statue

It was such a great experience seeing such an inspiring statue!! I think the only downfall was the amount of people crowded around to take pictures and no organization of a line haha! But overall, so cool to see a such an iconic symbol :)

The ancient Egyptian obelisk otherwise known as Cleopatras Needle stands proudly in the east of Central Park, close to the MET.

A great historical spot to stop at and take in as at over 3500 years old this obelisk has aged very well!

This monument was the last stop on our New York City Slavery and Underground Railroad Tour and, since it was the same end of the tour, we decided to go into the museum. I'm so glad we did. We arrived just in time to join a park ranger guided tour of the artwork in the lobby. Wow! Such profound and moving art! When that finished, we walked around the museum. I'd never heard the story that led to the creation of the monument and museum in this sacred place, despite the long-buried cemetery being discovered in 1989. If you're in the city, you MUST visit. This part of the history of NYC should not be forgotten.

This is a fun little statue in Central Park and in my view is definitely worth a visit! My wife is a great fan of the Balto film and confirmed that the statue is befitting of this hero dog!

The statue is easy to locate on both Apple Maps and Google Maps so we had no problems with navigating our way to it. We visited on a Monday afternoon; although there were other tourists around who had also came to see the statue it was not super busy. We also saw children posing for pictures next to the statue which is very cute, albeit not totally safe since the statue is sited fairly high up on a rocky outcrop.

We had been walking 5th Avenue and turned in to see the Rockefeller Building and wandered around the plaza. It was so pretty with the lights in the trees and all the flags with the iconic statue in the background and the ice rink. Seen so many times in films, it was just starting to lose the daylight and it was very, very striking.
There were lights on the ice rink and Prometheus and Atlas statues were both amazing.
Well worth seeing and very memorable.

Very touching memorial to fallen firefighters. Tastefully done. A lot larger than it looks in photos. This is a must see if you’re in the area. NEVER FORGET

Located on the east side of the park at The Conservatory Water, the beloved Hans Cristian Anderson Statue can be found. Known for his fairy tales, he is depicted reading from one of his most famous, The Ugly Ducking. Since 1957, a storytelling program for children takes place at the statue on Saturday mornings during the summer from June 1 to September 21 at 11am.
