    A Must See
    Like everything else in New York City, this museum is world class. Wow certainly not a fun experience, our guide did an amazing job of telling the stories of the victims as well as the heroes of 911. A must see on your visit to New York.

    Hard hat tour - totally worth it!
    Would highly recommend the hard hat tour! We got to see the hospital where people were cared for on the island. Irwin was our guide and he was really great. Had so much passion and a personal connection to the island. His knowledge was awesome, he gave us a great overall rundown of the island and afterwards we did a tour of the museum but Irwin had covered most of it in the tour!

    Emotional and beautiful
    Emotional. Moving. High Security. My absolutely favourite visit while in New York. There is no charge, no entrance fee. There are subway stops nearby to get to and from. There is a target nearby to pick up some food and drink. Do also visit the Survivors Star Sculpture.

    Simple tour you need to feel the UN ambience
    Check in is slow and confusing--why don't they need to check everyone's ID in the same group? Tour is all about getting to see the important rooms appearing in the news. Would be great if people were allowed to go to the top floor of the main skyscraper.

    For my history buffs!!
    If you like fort totten, but dislike the limited access (noon-4pm), 60% of it off limits to the public; fort Jay gives you that space away from the city, with the view of the skyline in the distance. It’s worth the trip if you prefer the old world style or just nature in general
    Definitely not for everyone, as there isn’t much access to provision outlets etc but it’s great if you come prepared!
    Pictured below is also a tunnel in fort totten I took, it’s nice comparing the architecture throughout the East Coast
    Greenwood cemetary is also pictured. Can you tell which is which? 😏

    Worthwhile and interesting
    I worked in this area for many years and never knew this existed until now. I came back to NYC for a Thanksgiving visit now that I live in Florida. I wanted to go to a museum but it was a Wednesday when most are closed. A friend told me about this and I’m so happy I went. The tour given by the guide is a MUST. It was not only interesting but fun. I learned about Teddy’s early life and saw where and how he lived. The guide gave us lots of background of how life was during the time period. The tour took a bit less than an hour and then you can explore the downstairs exhibits. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Beautiful museum in a stunning mansion
    This unassuming museum is beautifully curated with fun activities for the entire family. I particularly loved the Language of Symbols and Dorothy Liebes exhibits. The Carnegie Mansion is the perfect location. Unfortunately, when we went, the cafe and garden were not open but we still had a great time. It was very quiet when we went so it was a nice break. We were able to take our time and enjoy reading everything.

    Blast from the past , GW speech and many of America's founders visited this old tavern . Good place for military buffs and historians right of the the Sl ferry terminal

    federal hall
    Small National Park Service site that houses the spot where George Washington was inaugurated as the first president of the United States. Lots of internal and external construction, but you can still go inside and take a look around.

    Worth a Visit
    No signage that I found, but the organic structure just beckons you to go investigate. Very moving monument, and the fact that it is so different than the architecture around it makes it unique. Glad I happened upon this when I was strolling.

    Emotional Experience
    Proof that Lower Manhattan was built on the backs of Africans that were forced to work for free in America. The descendants should not have had to fight for their ancestors' remembrance. Please go see for yourself and watch the film.

    Sad site
    Visited here to see the spot where John Lennon’s life was so tragically ended. Perhaps surprisingly, there is no plaque or memorial so you will have to use your imagination. Be careful to stay on the public path - the doormen will zealously guard the private property beyond. As far as I know, Yoko Ono still owns the apartment here.

    Very interesting and enjoyable tour
    I really enjoyed the tour of this building. The organizers were kind enough to go ahead with the tour even though I was the only person on it, which made it an even more special experience for me. The guide was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed the historical context provided.
    It's quite a small building so the tour only takes and hour or so and I think could be well combined with one of the larger museums of the upper east side or perhaps the cable car to Roosevelt Island.

    Wonderful Building
    Visited this wonderful building with my wife and were lucky enough to take part in a tour hosted by Bro Louis Cooper. He was so informative and passionate about both Freemasonry and the building.

    The lodge rooms are jaw dropping. The scale and decor are beautiful.

    Well worth a visit for Masons and non Masons alike.
