The captain of the boat however we could not hear and we were sitting looking at him. A lovely experience. I'm always a bit concerned about the welfare of the horses on these rides, but pleased to see from other reviews that this company cancels rides when eg it's too hot for their horses. Almost no crowds at mid day on a Tuesday and thanks to the CityPass we could reschedule really easily. Dennis the tour guide does an amazing job of providing the NY Mafia History combined with his own personal experiences in that life growing up and also becoming a cop. Our guide, who had a personal connection with 9/11, was very knowledgable and personable. The museum has been very well designed to convey the events of the day, along with paying respects to every person who died that day. Native NYers and transplants alike learned a lot about the city's history and current day issues. We saw "hidden" spots we will now be frequenting and enjoyed a beautiful day outdoors with full bellies. The monument is managed by the National Park Service as part of the National Parks of New York Harbor office.
