- Mateo RMexico City, Mexico119 contributionsI went to San Diego on a budget so I decided to try the trolley, it was a good decision all in all since it gets to many places, some very far. I'm a foreigner so I didn't know what ot expect, but never had an issue. The trolley itself was for the most part clean, the people riding it just minded their own business, never felt unsafe.
The reason I don't give 5 stars is because it was a bit difficult to get the hang of it. Nobody explains you much, how the cards work, how the tickets work, the lines, etc. Basically you buy a card with a number of trips and you recharge it after they run out. Before you get into the trolley you are supposed to swipe your card in one of the machines at the station and then hop in. Supposedly there are people checking within the trolley if you actually paid but I never saw someone, of course if they catch you riding without a ticket there is a fine.
You can also not use a card and the buying machine emits a paper ticket, but of course this is for one way trips, while the card has other options. Also note that there are discounts for certain people.
Anyway if you are on a budget and don't rent a car the trolley is a good option to get around san Diego, just know that you will walk a lot because while the stations are conveniently located you still have to walk a good chunk to get to some places.Written May 29, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anel C1 contributionIt’s great, easy to cross and beast of all, it’s safe. It’s best to purchase the CBX tickets online. If you’re an American citizen entering Mexico, fill out the required form online as well. It’s a land crossing. This way you don’t have to get in line for each. We often reserve a parking spot if we leave our car there and walk from the parking lot right to the entrance. Not cheap but very convenient. - Lisa E1 contributionXM Transportation was by far the best van transportation for my group of 14 conference attendees. XM charges per trip, not all day, which is incredibly cost-efficient. Yonny was on time, professional, and an excellent driver for our team. The van was clean and very comfortable. In the lead-up time to our conference, Yonny was very responsive to questions. City Captain takes her from/to the Airport and from/to Summer Camp I feel comfortable knowing who picks her up and drops her off as opposed to my daughter calling a Lyft or Ueber. We always request Tina. She is on time, professional and my daughter adores her. Best transportation service ever used! They are very professional and they are on constant communication with the customers. We needed transportation from the train station in San Diego to Sesame Place San Diego and used Always Ride on Time. The driver was already waiting for us at the train station and got us to Sesame Place then picked us up again at the end of the day. The driver was again there early for the pickup and we got back to the train on time for our return trip back to Anaheim. We were spending the week at Disney..The driver was excellent. He was friendly and dependable. He even had bottled water for my family. I would recommend this service.

We rented VIP Sprinter Van from ARIA Transportation & Travel for Brewery Tours. Driver Tomas was on time and very kind with my parents and friends. They will never embrassed you to your loved ones on your special occasion.
