Sooo much fun, you play 9 holes of golf from various parts of the stadium trying to hit the various greens in the stadium. We were able to obtain tickets at the last minute through StubHub and really enjoyed it. My husband is the golfer, I am not but had a great time regardless! The holes have various themes he sponsors …we would definitely jump at the chance to play again and highly recommend.

Great view of the Navy base. Fun to watch jets fly in and out if there. Spotted a small pod of dolphins down below hunting fish I’d assume. Just a great spot to hangout with some binoculars and look at stuff.

This memorial is a somber reminder of the many different wars that brave men and women have lost their lives in to protect our freedoms. There are beautiful views here of San Diego, Coronado, Mission Bay, La Jolla and the ocean.

Not too much to say about it. It's a bridge! It is very high to allow passage of ships underneath. The view of San Diego is great on a clear day as well as that of the warships docked at the naval base.

I enjoyed a fantastic couple of hours here and would have stayed far longer if there had been dining options other than a vending machine with snacks in it. Choose a clear day and you will be rewarded with spectacular views of San Diego and the surrounding areas. There is so much to see and do here along with a very informative visitor centre with helpful and knowledgeable staff. My chances of visiting here again are minimal but if I was in the area I would, without hesitation, head for this iconic place that sits high on my list of favourite venues in the whole of the USA. I just wish there was a restaurant here.

We lucked out, as it was the first day in over a week that they were flying due to wind conditions. It was a great experience, abosolutely stunning. On not scary at all (I have done bungee jumping and skydiving, and those WERE scary).

You can take your own pics with your phone when you are up there (I did), but note if you drop your phone, you are out of luck! They will also take pics of you from the ground as you pass by, and those also turned out great.

From what I gather, the pilots are independent contractors -- they show up, sign in, and are put on the roster to take people up. Both my pilot and my girlfriend's pilot were excellent. We had to wait about 30 minutes before it was our time to fly, and we were up there for about 20 minutes.

Quaint little lighthouse. Shows what it was like when a family lived there. Nice walk to the lighthouse from the monument.

A large and FREE park (and free parking) to learn about San Diego's history. Be sure to stop first at the visitors center at the Robinson Rose House for a map and park info. We went on the walking tour that departs there at 11:00a. It was a 45 minute tour of history of old town and a good way to start our day and figure out what to explore.

We stayed at the Residence Inn which is an easy walk to lots of great restaurants and also offers easy walking to the Seaport Village for touring (military ships and aircraft; a nice Bob Hope memorial) and shopping.

It was a nice place to walk around with nice views of the harbour. The shops were cute and fun, but quite touristy and overpriced. The restaurant we went to had a nice view, but it was overpriced for food that was average. Overall a pretty good experience.

We walked the boardwalk after visiting Midway Aircraft Carrier. Went a day early for a cruise out of San Diego to visit the area. It was December and the weather was cool, but very nice. we walked the boardwalk in late afternoon. Many sites to see including the Kissing Statue, quaint (but expensive) shops and restaurants. We also encounter some homeless people pan handling and or living on the boardwalk

A nice area to visit for a couple of hours. There is a historic park with several old buildings to visit / look at including a few old shops and a hotel.
Then there is a area adjacent to the park with a few more old buildings/ restaurants, bars and shops. The shops sell mainly the same touristy stuff. Mainly Mexican food but plenty of choice.

Hop on hop off trolley goes from old town into downtown San Diego and Coronado.

Really interesting story is shared here about how the army recruited Mormon pioneers to fight in the war against Mexico, and how that played into settling the San Diego area. The Historic Site is free to visit and includes some really fun activities such as panning for gold. It's right across the street from Old Town. Don't miss this!
