Gabriel was a super passionate and fun guide! We had such a great time and the food was delicious and wonderful. Gabriel put the food in to historical context. He also told a bit history on the tour and gave great recommendations on where to go, see and eat in Boston and in the surrounding areas of Boston.
The guide, Paxton, was knowledgeable on the history, well spoken, and, most importantly for a pub crawl, had great beer recommendations. The tour was fun and the beer was great.
My boyfriend and I were given the Self-Up Italian cooking class for Christmas for this past Saturday. We both had no expectations for the class and were definitely slightly nervous as we are not the best of chefs ourselves. Chef John Peredina was the absolute best, and made everyone feel comfortable while hosting the class. Not only was he extremely intellectual in his craft, but he was thoroughly entertaining and looked to include everyone in demos during the class. If you’d like to learn some new things about cooking in general, make various types of fresh pasta while listening to 60s/70s soul music jams, all while drinking your choice in beer/wine/soda…this place is for you! Highly recommend.
Took the tour today and it was great! Sabrina was our tour guide and she was extremely personable, knowledgeable and accommodating. I had no idea what to expect on the tour other than amazing donuts but found it to be educational and entertaining. I grew up in the Boston area and learned some unknown facts about local history. I highly recommend this tour! Great time!
I have taken many food tours and this topped them all! Paula was a wealth of information regarding Italy, the North end, Italian food and wine. During the tour, we had pizza, arancini, prosciutto and cheese tasting, fresh pastries, sit down lunch with pasta, caprese and wine. We ended with cannoli, expresso and gelato. Along the way we stopped at many local spots. Would definitely return and recommend!
Food was basic buffet menu. Drink service was slower than expected. Had a nice window seat. Desserts were ok. I would have preferred more sea food on the menu.
Rudi was a knowledgeable, safe and entertaining guide. From his knowledge of the history of beer, to his appreciation of the role beer plays in our culture, he provided a wonderful afternoon.
A lot of excellent food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cruise was interesting and the boat was emaculate! The captain took pictures of us pretending to drive the boat and he showed us all of the instruments and gave us interesting information of the area!
Had a great tour with Katie, our tour guide! She was super friendly, and definitely had the knowledge of the Boston South End. The food showcased the diversity of the neighborhood and I was definitely full by the end!
Super fun! Our guide (Rachel) was so knowledgable. Her energy about Boston and its history made learning about it very interesting. You can tell she enjoyed what she was doing. Highly recommend1
Bike ride was fun!! We took it into downtown Salem and had a blast. Picnic spot was amazing and cozy, better than expected. We packed a nice lunch and drinks and enjoyed our space. Would totally suggest for other couples!!
