    Wonderful family-friendly fishing adventure
    My 11 year old son and I plus two adult friends went on a fishing trip aboard the Gold Rush with Brian and Melinda in May 2023. I did not know what to expect and getting on a fishing boat at 6 am on a dark and rainy morning was a bit outside my comfort zone. However, I did not need to worry - we had a wonderful time. Brian and Melinda took a lot of time and effort to ensure everyone had a good experience. Melinda was very patient explaining things to my son, from how to bait his hook to reel in a fish. She was likewise patient with me as live-baiting hooks was a new thing for me. We caught loads of fish - 6 California Halibut and some Striped Bass. The boat was nice with a cabin for getting out of the rain during a short period of rainy weather at the beginning. The boat felt quite big and stable; the ride in the water was calm - no waves and no seasickness. We saw terrific views of SF and surrounding areas from the water. At the end the crew filleted all the fish for us to take home. We had so much fish we had to give some away to friends. We will definitely be back. Tip - get a vacuum sealer so you can preserve your catch.

    Great Day Fishing with Teens on The Wild Wave
    I took my 13 year old son and his two good friends out for a day fishing on the Bay. Tom was a great captain, knew where to go, was very knowledgeable and we caught a lot of fish and had a great time. Boat was clean and in good shape. Tom recommended fish tacos for our striped bass, which were insane. I would definitely recommend going out with his boat. Just bring a warm jacket as it’s chilly on the water in the morning.

    Wonderful trip
    Captain Mike took us on a great trip around the bay taking in the bridge and Alcatraz Island. Baring in mind this is usually a fishing boat, Captain Mike was really good at giving us all the relevant details and history, an excellent and throughly enjoyable ride ~ thanks

    Best charter ever!
    All I can say is this is one of the best charter fishing experiences I have ever had. Captain Patrick was absolutely amazing. And deckhand Jeff was just such a hard worker and so sweet. I've never seen a charter put so much effort in for their clients. We did a potluck charter. And caught rockfish, lingcod and even got a surprise doing some salmon fishing at the end. What a treat that was. Captain Patrick and Jeff I just want to thank you both so very much for the memories I made with y'all! Cannot wait to go out again. I wish you all nothing but the best and luck in the future.

    Impressive trip
    Flash 1 was amazing! We had Captain Charles and deck hand Ben, both were very knowledgeable and very helpful! I would highly recommend using this company! We caught all the striped bass we could handle! We caught some halibut, smelt, crabs, and a sea lion ;) (or he caught us). It was perfect weather we’re we were, as other areas were getting hit by 30+ mph wind. I can’t thank the crew enough for all their patients! ( I may have tangled the line a time or 2)!

    A must
    Absolutely a must trip saves you a lot of money compared to others services, the crew are very friendly and it’s very informal, we booked our place then went to the supermarket got some snacks and beers on recommendation by the crew. Outstanding revel of the Golden Gate Bridge, highly recommended

    Awesome day on the water!
    Briliant day out on the water with Warrior Poet Fishing! Dave and his crew gave us a first class morning with shark and a huge Bat Ray hauled in. The calm, relaxed and egoless atmosphere was a real joy. Thanks Guys!

    One day private tour to yosemite park
    We took the one day tour to Yosemite from san Fransisco. Our guide Leo was great, helpful and knowledgeable. We got a great comfortable SUV and got to see all the great parts of the park. Highly recomending this tour and specially recomending our excellent super nice, kind pleasent and proffesional guide - Leo.

    Where angling and conservation meet
    As an avid angler and professional in the fisheries field, I can honestly say that Gatecrasher is one of the best outfits I have seen. They know their local fisheries and have decades of experience and knowledge on those areas. They put back to conservation and are helping the resource. Giving back to the resource is the only way we can all enjoy these amazing adventures for generations to come. And if you want to make sure these opportunities stick around, then I suggest booking with them since they put back to the fisheries. There also super fun to hang out with on the water and are very safe captains.

    Great fishing experience in the bay
    Our family had a great time fishing with Don in the bay. We have two boys (10 and 13) that caught good size fish including a leopard shark, which my teenager was so excited about! He knew a lot about exactly where to fish at what time so we were at the right spot at the right time. He even dropped us off at a restaurant on pier that cooked some of our catch (stripped bass) It was excellent! Being able to schedule online was also a plus. The only thing that I would recommend is for him to touch base with his clients a day in advance to confirm and answer any questions (which almost no one does), or you can just call like I did the day before. Thanks Sole-man for a great adventure!

    Very satisfied, will go out again with Captain Ron!
    We did a charter with Captain Roy yesterday and had a great time! The fishing weren't biting very well but that's certainly not his fault as he is incredibly skilled at this craft. Captain Roy has to be one of the friendliest and most gracious hosts you could hope for and pulled out all the stops to ensure we had the best time possible. His immense fishing knowledge and experiences are wonderful to hear about and he shares this humbly. There were three children on board who must have asked a thousand questions in relentless fashion and Captain Roy was amazingly patient and kind with them and truly interested in helping them learn more about all of this. Deckhand Ensei was also a hard worker and really busted his butt to give us the best time possible. We will without question look Captain Roy up again for our next trip out in the bay. As one who is engaged in this profession I can say this is a first rate charter service.
