I had a one on one class with Ted and it was great and thorough. I have been kayaking before but liked the tips and learning about how to read tides and plan your trip in SF Bay

My original trip 10/22/2022 was cancelled due to low attendance. I rescheduled three more times, 06/24/2023, 07/29/2023 and 10/21/2023, each time was cancelled, and those slots are pretty much the only trips they offer.
It seemed they have abandoned the group tour business. Do Not Book with them.

In August of this year, I had the opportunity to spend three days in Mendocino with ETC. ETC is a wonderful organization which gives people with various disabilities the opportunity to experience being in the out-of-doors who might not otherwise have the chance to do so. The Mendocino trip was one of my most favorite trips thus far. What was so awesome about it for me, as a totally blind individual, was that I was able to experience the contrast between kayaking on the river and kayaking in the ocean. On the river, the water was glassy smooth and I got to practice my paddling skills in a calm and quiet environment. In the ocean, I loved feeling the rush of paddling fast, over the swells made by big waves and by other boats. I don't know if I have had a feeling that is more exhilarating than this. But what was really awesome about this area was kayaking in the caves. I was matched with a guy who had the same sense of adventure that I had and who did not hold back from paddling through any of the caves. Each cave was incredibly unique in its shape, rock formations, and reverberating sounds as the waves rushed through the walls. At the end of the trip, I got to experience the roaring sound of water as it came spewing through the rocks in a blowhole. On Saturday night some of us went for a walk on the beach before dinner. It was an area with many cliffs and rock formations and when the waves came in from different angles, it sounded like the waves in stereo or in surround sound. The weather was perfect for kayaking; cool and fresh and invigorating. I loved feeling the slippery, slimy kelp as it slid through my fingers, and hearing the sounds of egrets, seagulls and other seabirds. We stayed in an old farmhouse with an old fashioned fireplace that kept us warm in a chilly environment. The food was fabulous and the guides were always there with their expert help and their warm and friendly conversation. I strongly recommended this trip to anyone with a sense of adventure. I especially recommend it to those who are visually impaired because it is a trip filled with some of the most phenomenal sounds out there. Thank you, ETC.

Our kiddo has done summer camp here (100% outdoors, standup paddle boarding) for going on 3 years. The dropoff is convenient, the counselors are wonderful and my daughter has a great time! It's one of the few camps that she'll tolerate doing multiple weeks of during the summer. She does the beginner SUP class based on her age and hasn't gotten bored. Definitely recommended!

This was cool! Water biking was kinda like kayaking; you get to be on the water, powered by your own strength and self-determining where you go. But compared to kayaking, water-biking has a more comfortable posture, has a better vantage point, and has a higher chance of staying dry.

I appreciate that Damian is the owner and founder. Since he was also our guide, he’s a full 1-man show, and I liked the experience better knowing he’s making it happen.

We had a great trip sailing from Sausalito to Chase Center to catch the Warriors game. Great time and very great control over the boat at all times. Can’t wait to go back for my next trip!
