SS Jeremiah O'Brien
#6 of 119 Museums in San Francisco
They have a wonderful Museum on board which has depictions of D-Day as well as lots of history about Liberty ships and what their purpose was for.
This is a brilliant piece of living working history plus an excellent museum of the D Day landings and the crucial part that these ships played in the sucess of this battle.

It is absolutely the BEST Museum (of its kind) and the most fun thing to do in Northern California for anyone who enjoys historic games, machines, and devices, or old Amusement Parks and Roadside Attractions.

The Maritime Museum and National Park Service Visitor Center was at the end of Fisherman’s Wharf and I spent a little bit of time there learning about the vast history of seafaring and fishing in San Francisco.
It's a fairly small museum loaded with lots about the history of San Fransisco Bay.
