This museum touches different sciences - biology (dissecting a cow's eye. seeing a chick's heart beating, shrimps), geology, physics (wheels, floating fabrics). So much to see and explore with kids. Worth the time and energy to visit!

Was an excellent exhibit and very informative especially Walt's family photos and history. There was also a free bus going back into town.

I enjoyed a quick visit her for about 15 minutes. It’s free but the hours were only about 10-4. You can get a pass to ride cable cars all day for $13 which beats $8 per ride.

The de Young, designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron and located in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, is the nation’s fifth most visited art museum. It showcases American art from the seventeenth through the twenty-first centuries, international textile arts and costumes, and art from the Americas, the Pacific, and Africa.
There was an outstanding flower show matching some art work during our visit.

We stumbled across this place and enjoyed it. They have lots of old pinball machines and other arcade games over the last 100 years. Admission is free but the games take coins. The staff is very friendly and passionate about the place.

great little find, as soon as you go inside you will be amazed how the crew lived and operated all those years ago, the smells, things to touch, sounds and feelings as you crawl through hatches and tight areas really send your senses wild, it felt very close and oppressive but we loved it.

We received a warm welcome with an informative introduction from a very nice gentleman who gave us a map and suggested route around the ship. It was good value for money and there was plenty to see with interesting facts and stories. Sections of the ship that I would not have expected to be open were, with my son and daughter able to climb onto one of the guns and move it around. My son has particular interest in naval history so this made his day.

We were on a road trip so bought our America the Beautiful National Parks Pass which is $80 and valid for a year. It meant that we could visit this and all the other National Parks on our trip and save a fortune in doing so. It was lovely to read the history of the boats and wander about without the crowds along the bay. A nice way to spend an hour or so.

Gregangelo and the team is one of a kind. The house is one magical thing, their generous hospitality another. Go there and find out how life also can be.

Past by randomly and the stagecoach caught our eye. Its free to walk around and they had some pretty interesting displays about the history of Wells Fargo and San Francisco. Worth a look if you have the time.

It was a rainy day so we opted to visit the waxworks. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be on my list, as I’m not a fan. But I admit I was surprised how good it was, especially if you interact with the exhibits for fun photos.
Liked Charlie Chan, Bruce Lee, Muhammed Ali, Johnny Depp, Adele, and all of the rest.
We had a good laugh and enjoyed our time there.

I purchased my ticket and went to see The Beat Museum. There is a very good movie oo the Beatnick Movement. Some of the names of the Beatnick movement are Jack Keruac, Allen Ginsberg, poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Timothy Leary, Ken Keasey and so forth. The movie is worth seeing.

Then on the 2nd floor are exhibits such as Allen Ginsberg's Organ, Banned Books Exhibit (City Lights Bookstore), and more.

I found it well worth my time and with the ticket price being so reasonable, I find it a very fun thing to do. Staff is very helpful.

There is also a store with books, etc, to buy if interesed.

If you're only interested in cartoons you've read (that's me), you might be disappointed. The main exhibits when I was there were of Marvel Comics and Batman costumes, and I'm not a fan of either. (On the other hand, the one-hour drive to the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa was absolutely worthwhile for me.) I did really enjoy the exhibit showing how animation has been made over the years.

I was hoping for a little more. The carousel is great, but it's $5/ride. Give it a try and maybe your kid will love it!
