- Gurkan G4 contributionsPerfect day in Napa/Sonoma! I was hesitant about booking a wine tour as there are so many options to choose from but I am glad I got to go with Green Dream Tours! Most tours stick to either Sonoma or Napa only but I was so happy we got to experience both locations in the same day! Our guide Barry had enough knowledge run his own winery! Both wineries in Napa and Sonoma went out of their way to make sure everybody's questions were answered and they even let us try an extra pour at Roche Winery! He knew the area so well (been driving it most of the past 8 yrs) and was a superb driver. He was always a quick text away. Very clear communicator. We chose to visit Sterling & Castello di Amoroso. One son is underage, so that limited our choices some, but those were both awesome. The height, girth, and age of the redwood trees real give you an eye opening reality check on how short human life really is. The quiet peace of the forest is refreshing. Sausalito has a great free spirited vibe that is nice. Sonoma and Napa were good. But Madonna Estate Winery in Sonoma was the best. Informative, inviting, and top shelf wine. - Fearless514218628021 contributionThis was one of the best tours I have ever taken. I am a travel agent and can tell you don't come to San Francisco without going on this. The vans were hilarious, drivers were amazing. We went to three different wineries, all with their own unique experience. There were 12 of us for a girls weekend, and it just made it. - Jacky BMelbourne, Australia11 contributionsOur tour visited 3 wineries: Madonna, Sutter and Andretti. Madonna gave a great basic introduction to wine tasting. Sutter has truly beautiful gardens that are well worth a visit in their own right, and have some nice crowd-pleaser wines. Andretti gave excellent, in-depth information about the Napa region and wine growing in general, and they have a lovely courtyard where you can sip wine overlooking the vineyards.
Our tour guide/bus driver was friendly and informative, if a little over-talkative.
The whole tour ran at a relaxed pace. The leisurely lunch break in Yountville was excellent. (Lunch itself wasn't included, but Yountville has an array of excellent options at different price points).
We particularly appreciated Tower Tours flexibility in letting us stay overnight. Technically this is a one day tour, but they were happy to leave us at Napa at the end of one day, and tag along on the following day's tour bus to get home at the end of the next day.
If you are a wine connoisseur, you may want to choose a tour that visits some of the more sophisticated wineries. - Carrie PTroy, IL21 contributionsWe booked a full day Muir Woods/ Sausalito and Napa wine tasting through Tower Tours which is run by the Big Bus Company. Our morning driver was Patrick, and he made the morning fun and informative. 90 minutes in Muir was just enough time to walk the whole loop with stops for photos and visit the gift shop. Our driver for the afternoon was Marco. He made sure I had the chance to stop for a photo of the Golden Gate on our way back. - Chris D1 contributionDan was timely, professional, and an absolute joy to spend a couple of days with. Ours was a proposal weekend so he even helped me with some of those (secret) logistics. He even went to CVS when we needed something over the counter….while we were wine tasting. Everything went smoothly and his driving was fantastic.
