The academy is quite large and it has many diverse exhibits. Africa, the swamp, the aquarium, the tropical forest and the planetarium. We were not told we had to book a time slot for the planetarium so unfortunately we missed that exhibit. Very crowded but still able to move about. The on site cafeteria is a bit wanting though!

We arrived as Per was parking the bus which was very clean and comfortable. Our host Per kept us entertained all through the journey with his funny quips and his excellent knowledge of the areas we visited. The trip provides just the right amount of walking and sight seeing from the bus. An excellent experience all round

We enjoyed our Big Bus Tour of SF. It was a great way to orient ourselves to some of SF’s key attractions. We rode the bus all the way around without getting off, getting a feel for where we were and what we wanted to see. Then we were able to go to places we were most interested in afterwards. The Walking Tour of Chinatown was terrific. Blake blended a mix of history and comedy to keep us engaged for 1.5 hours. He was the best part of the tour! (Shoutout from Team Atlanta!) The Sunset Tour was somewhat disappointing. It started at 6:30, well past sundown. While we learned some new facts, much of the voiceover was a repeat of want we heard earlier in the day. Our driver was very accommodating and gave us a short history lesson during our stop on Treasure Island. All in all, I would recommend this tour, but maybe skip the Sunset Tour.

Everything I’d hoped it would be. SF is beautiful at night from the bay and especially so at Christmas. Friendly staff and comfortable accommodations. Dress warm!

I really can't say enough great things about this tour! My husband and I went while on a short getaway and we enjoyed it so much. Our guide, Andre, was absolutely charming, knowledgeable, and so friendly. It was really lovely to hear his personal experiences incorporated into the time. The food was exceptional throughout, though I think our favorite was the dim sum.
One thing that's good to know is that the trip is quite fast-paced (justifiably, there's a LOT to get through!), and a whole lot of walking for 4 hours. This tour would be hard for someone with mobility issues, but San Francisco is full of steep hills. Don't forget your step-counter when you start the tour! :)

Had a great experience with Dominic on our tour of the city. We were able to see all the biggest hits of San Francisco tourism and learn some interesting facts along the way.

This tour was fabulous. Our driver was friendly and very knowledgeable. We got to see a great deal in a short space of time which is what you want when you’re only in a place for a short period of time. Highly recommend

Very interesting. We opted for the walking tour and it was challenging for us but we were able to do it and keep up. It was surprising how any people were on the boats and island.
The buses were on time, sometimes standing room only.

Red & White runs on Christmas Day which was great for my friend and I as I was visiting over Christmas week. The Bridge-to-Bridge cruise was easy to book at good rates and comes with on-board informative commentary as well as a snack bar. I would definitely recommend going for it to get a bay view of the city of SF and to hear interesting snippets including audio from previous inmates of Alcatraz!

The Exploratorium is my go-to destination when I have family and friends in town visiting from the East Coast, also cousins from Japan. You see their kids' eyes truly LIGHT UP from the minute they walk in!

Everything is interactive, "touchable" and fun for all ages -- so we all get into it together. I find that it give me a chance to engage with my young cousins, to meet them on their level and learn new things together .. and ultimately to create memories, since we only see each other a few times a year.

The Exploratorium has become a family tradition for us. The location is ideal, too -- parking lot across the street, and you can walk down to The Ferry building afterwards for an ice cream, blue bottle coffee -- and the adults can even have a glass of wine!
