Wonderful evening of intimate and amazing magic! Mr Alexander is very engaging and a great entertainer. There were lots of surprises and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Highly recommend.

I've been to several events at Oasis. All have been excellent performances by queer and bipoc artists. One of my favorites though is Dhoom, basically South Asian queer, drag and transgender performances (dance, fashion and singers) along with great Bollywood music for dancing. Oasis is part of what makes San Francisco such an exciting place to live.

This was my first time at a comedy place. I walked past it on my way to a restaurant and thought I'd visit it afterwards.

Upon entry I immediately enjoyed the ambiance. Small, private, basement bar that was OK and full of young people. I asked the guy who was selling tickets (who ended up being Scott Simpson) about what the law of the land was and once I was told I could sip a drink inside the theatre as the show went on, I was sold and bought the ticket.

The bar was small, and there was only one bartender for a lot of people which meant long wait times. However, I'll say the bartender was an artisan of drinks and prepared mine with patience and care. It tasted great and I ended up getting 2 more after that one.

I appreciated the fact that Scott saved me a seat next to the door after hearing that I would be coming out to get more drinks as the show went on.

I don't really feel prepared or knowledgeable enough on the art of comedy to comment on its quality, but I laughed and had a good time, which is what I was going for. I really liked Jon's style and found Scott's stories highly relatable and very funny.

Kevin Blake is as funny as he is talented as an illusionist. His quick-witted rapport with the audience kept us laughing and amazed as he moved from one delightful illusion to the next. He’s a cool dude who entertained kids and adults alike. I can’t wait to see his new act in the summer when this Sacramento native wows us with the unbelievable and makes believe in magic again.

This was a fun night out for our group of six. Arriving early gave a few choices for being seated together near the stage. It also gave us time to get some food and drinks prior to the show. The host of the show was really funny. We enjoyed all the acts.

Good venue recently saved from eviction. Not too tacky nor too touristy. Kevin Shea headlined and gave us plenty of laughs.

I've been going to The Setup for the past few years and they always have a solid rotation of comedians and for the price can't be beat. Add in a really good beer bar and comfortable couches, seating in a just big enough venue = perfect Friday night activity.

My 16-year old son and I enjoyed the show a lot (and it was not easy to find a comedy show that allows in young folks who are less than 21, thanks you puritanism). A very welcoming and cozy place in this big city.

Great, low-key venue in the Armory building, with great fresh comedy and a bar that makes really yummy drinks! It's cool that they feature a member of the kink community - the week I went it was a story, sometimes there are demos. The hosts are great and (unlike some other shows I've been too) are really funny themselves!
