The views are perfect here. Nice ocean breeze. Trails are pretty easy to manage. Beautiful views even from the car.

What a great place! We were a bit confused initially about where to buy our pass, as there were machines, but also a visitors' center which you can't see from the parking lot.
But going to the visitors' center is important if you want some advice for which hikes to do. We asked for an easy to medium hike and the ranger mapped out a nice choice for us. There was one beautiful vista after another. We didn't have reservations at the Jordan Pond café, so we resorted to the grab and go sandwiches which were a bit overpriced and not very tasty; I'd recommend bringing your own food. My only complaint is that the park is HUGE! If you're into hiking, plan for multiple days.

In that it was off season there were no charges for parking. We started at the town pier and came back along Main Street. The views along the path were incredible, both out to sea and the houses along the way.

Outstanding! If you are looking for a lower key part of Arcadia- this is for you. It's just as gorgeous (although possibly a little tricky to navigate as there are not a lot of signs) as the main(e :)) part of the park but you'll have it almost to yourself. In summer! I would probably just stick to this part of the park next time I go in season because it's so peaceful. Also you can bring your dog!

This is one of the best hikes in Acadia National Park!!! You have a constant view of the ocean and its beautiful rocky coast!

A good experience with a hint of adventure...particulatly recommend if you like collecting sea shells!

Parking can take some time so recommend going in advance. The bridge was open 1.5 hours before and after low tide when we went and seemed everyone was arriving at that time.

When I went to the Bar Harbor side of it the weather was foggy and cool, such a nice relief from the heat and humidity. Loved the windjammers and sailboats, and there were some pretty nice yachts. There's a nice little park on the hill overlooking French Bay. I also saw Frenchman Bay from the Schoodic Peninsula, and it was equally breathtaking.

Even though you are walking on rocks it is a fairly easy walk and the views are well worth the short hike.

Would have loved to be able to get close to really see this light house. From the distance really a neat view and even learning about all the birds and wildlife that was on the island

We arrived about 6:30pm on a weekday and had no trouble parking in the small lot near the north end of Eagle Lake. We walked the short trail toward the lake and saw wide gravel walking trails and directional signage but did not have time to check out these trails. We just walked down to the lake’s edge for a few photos.

From the parking lot, walk east on the road a short distance to see the beaver pond. In the late afternoon light, it was very pretty and we saw two beaver lodges on opposite sides of the pond.

Loved this shop! We were walking off Main Street and wandered in and found several items that we had to have - all reasonably priced. My husband bought a few wooden postcards and found out that it was based on art that one of the owners painted - what a bonus!

We wandered through the Village Green while in town after visiting the park, and had a fun time people-watching and simply enjoying the evening. This is the social hub of town, so it's surrounded by shops and restaurants, and there's a lively thrum of activity. Parking can be difficult to find, though.

This park is beautiful spot for a picnic, or to just sit and relax in the middle of the bustling downtown area. Perfect place to take in the unspoiled views of nature, aka Frenchman Bay.

Criterion Theater is a beautiful old theater in the heart of Bar Harbor. While it is closed during the pandemic, it is worth a visit and a place to enjoy a show. Spend some time looking at the detail in addition to whatever is playing.

At the college, the Dorr Museum is managed by students. We were impressed by their work and as a retired educator, I loved seeing the hands-on stuff! Great little museum and LOVELY campus.
